excerpts

Revelations of Rowhani's candor come on the eve of tomorrow's IAEA meeting to reassess Iran's banned nuclear operations. According to U.N. protocol, the IAEA review is the final step before Tehran's case is forwarded to the Security Council, where, if the facts dictate, sanctions may be imposed.

Iran has just completed failed talks with Russia, which opposes U.N. sanctions, to find a way around the impasse.

"Rowhani's remarks show that the mullahs wanted to deceive the international community from the onset of negotiations with EU3," said Mohammad Mohaddessin, the NCRI's foreign affairs chief, "and that the mullahs were fully aware that if they were transparent, the regime's nuclear file would be referred to the U.N. immediately."

What is the original source for the story other than Worldnetdailey? Just curious if this was a AP or Reuters originated story.

How we duped the West, by Iran's nuclear negotiator
Telegraph (UK) ^ | 3/5/2006 | Philip Sherwell

Posted on 03/04/2006 7:35:22 PM CST by wjersey

The man who for two years led Iran's nuclear negotiations has laid out in unprecedented detail how the regime took advantage of talks with Britain, France and Germany to forge ahead with its secret atomic programme.

In a speech to a closed meeting of leading Islamic clerics and academics, Hassan Rowhani, who headed talks with the so-called EU3 until last year, revealed how Teheran played for time and tried to dupe the West after its secret nuclear programme was uncovered by the Iranian opposition in 2002.

He boasted that while talks were taking place in Teheran, Iran was able to complete the installation of equipment for conversion of yellowcake - a key stage in the nuclear fuel process - at its Isfahan plant but at the same time convince European diplomats that nothing was afoot.

"From the outset, the Americans kept telling the Europeans, 'The Iranians are lying and deceiving you and they have not told you everything.' The Europeans used to respond, 'We trust them'," he said.

They didn't "dupe" anybody. They simply took advantage of the West's pathological inability to confront evil.

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION:

There was a post on FreeRepublic that suggested how muslim immigration eats

away at the host nation's law.

It went something like:

At less than 10% Muslims accept the host nation laws.

At 25%, they start asking for changes in the host nation laws.

At 50% they start asking for sharia to be added to the host nation laws

At 75% they institute sharia and ban all host nation laws.

IF ANYONE HAS THIS POST, I WOULD APPRECIATE RECEIVING A COPY BY MAIL.

THANKS . . .

It doesn't matter any more.

The president of Iran could get on TV and shout that he has nuclear weapons and plans to smuggle one into the USA and blow it up. It won't matter.

The Democrats have used the anti-war effort to build antipathy for Bush (They thought it would get them the 2004 election, now they are banking on a Congressional turnover in 2006) and it has a life of its own.

There is no way that we can use our military to force another country to do anything without the immediate declaration that our basis for using the military is a lie, that we are not threatened, that it is all about Bush seeking global control.

Its just too late.

We will have to get struck again before people wake up, and even then, they will fall asleep again. The enemy is within and working hard to prevent us from being able to execute our own defense.

Hello Rome??? Is it burning yet?

Is anyone surprised? Sometimes I shake my head at the ridiculousness of this whole situation. There is no way that an intelligent person can not see that Iran will produce a nuclear weapon. For some reason Russia seems complicit in this endeavor. I thought Russia had its own problems with Muslims? How does this benefit the "Soviets"? I just get this feeling that everything bad for America begins with Russia. They help Saddam remove his WMD's, they interfere with the Iran situation, they seem to break ranks with everything we are trying to accomplish. What gives?

"At the closed meeting of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, Rowhani boasted that during talks to forestall Iran's nuclear program, which intelligence sources in the U.S. saw as part of an effort to build nuclear weapons, Tehran completed the installation of equipment needed to convert yellowcake at its Isfahan plant. The Europeans, he said, were convinced nothing was occurring at the plant. "

Well we can dump on the europeans for being duped, once again or we can start demanding our gov't broadcast this all over the world.

Frankly europe has acted like europe, it's time America started acting like America again. Stand up Call them Liars and terrorist, better yet BLOW up the damn plant he boast about and 10 others to start with!

Then go on t.v. and use his own words and actions to justify ours.....lord I wish we'd act like the superpower we are.

Iran's top nuclear negotiator, in a speech to the nation's leading Islamic clerics and academics, has admitted what many in U.S. intelligence have been saying all along – namely, Tehran duped the West on its nuclear program by continuing its development while using diplomatic talks to lull the Europeans into inaction.

And even in the face of such a frank admission, the euro-weenies will continue to pursue negotiations with Tehran despite the fact that the mullahs took them all for fools and, will in all likelihood, continue to do so.

The Iranians in power know the UN is worthless and neutered. They now relish waving their red flag in the faces of countries that have the ability, but not the will to stop their insanity, terrorism and desire to destroy the civilized world.

Is Rome burning yet? Yes Rome is burning but many haven't seen the flames yet. There were flames on 911 but somehow many in America have forgotten. There are flames burning presently
but, they are hidden within American societies.

Europe is now burning and, it will be hard to distinguish the flames. Islam has a good foot hold and they will not let go so easy.
If the Muslims in America were against the crazes of their religion, don't you think for a moment they would let you know.
They hide and keep quiet in America just waiting to see our Rome burn.

They can act with impunity...because nothing is going to happen to stop their efforts. The left in this country has succeeded in ending the doctrine of pre-emption. (I've always said they'd be happy to sacrifice a few cities, even American cities, to regain power).

Now we must live with the 60's generation (they're in power now) foreign policy based on the song "Imagine," until the tuned-out, turned-off masses realize that pop song lyrics aren't an effective strategy on which to base either governing philosophy or foreign policy.

That realization will only come accompanied by a mushroom cloud. We might as well just have some morbid fun and start book on what city gets the first one.
