I'm calling it the Hemorrhoid Cream Media. The hemorrhoid cream ads are the only part of them you can trust to be true.
I have never figured out what the Hossiers see in the popular Lugar either.

Some of my file notes on Katrina were posted on one of the "Bush said/Blanco said" video threads the other day--just tidbits in real time, chronologically. Picking out two pieces pertaining to what you're discussing:

News summary of earlier events of the day, Mon afternoon 2:37PM
The National Weather Service reported that a levee broke on the Industrial Canal near the St. Bernard-Orleans parish line, and 3 to 8 feet of flooding was possible. The Industrial Canal is a 5.5-mile waterway that connects the Mississippi River to the Intracoastal Waterway.

Tue night
The whole WWL news crew just paused and took a deep breath, 'St Bernard Parish is gone,' --heartbreaking.
A professor from LSU said on WWL yesterday that the storm surge of 22 feet inundated the 17 foot sea wall.
He said the entirety of St. Bernard Parish was under 12 feet of water within two hours.
Thanks.
Ping Post 688 to you, Dave.
Yes, I agree it would be better if we controled the spin instead of reacted to it, but consider how much worse off we would be if we did NOT have a "Counter media" to get the facts out? Like most things in life, change in the information flow is evolutionary, not revolutionary.
This is the service that just sends out the Press Releases right? That is what you mean by "raw" right?
So the question we need to answer is how do they determine a continer "posing as a terrorist risk"? Good stuff C, thank you.
Who's "we", exactly who are you speaking for Johnnie? If it's the RNC you're doing a terrible job of trying to convince people this port deal is the greatest thing since sliced bread. If the GOP loses Congress, and they may very well it's going to be due to hysterical hacks like you that'll be to blame.
Ah yes, another Port Deal Critic demonstrates why THEY are losing the argument. Name calling, hysteria and bigotry are NOT substitutes for facts no matter how much the Whine All the Time Choir WISHES they were. After getting bitch slapped over and over and over by the facts for the last 5 years one would think the DNC mouthpieces like you RWB would realize that SPIN does NOT trump FACTS.
But that ok, keep spewing your nonsense. I am keeping these on file so after the election we can repost them and ask the Chicken Littles to explain why their forecasting is always so devoid of reality. Go to be funny to see what sort of rationalization and lies you come up with to explain how wrong you all are.
One I thing that does have me scratching my head in wonder though, if Bill Clinton were president and was trying to allow a nation with terrorist ties to manage some of our ports would MNJohnnie and Rush Limbaugh be spamming the threads calling everyone hysterical and xenophobic for opposing it? Be honest now.

Yes, Scully had a pretty lame excuse about the lack of coverage of the trip......something about the cost, etc. Then why not get some guests in to discuss the trip and its ramifications? The Pakistani woman-scholar that they had on mentioned the trip in passing, but was basically touting Pakistans friendship with the US and the strategic importance of Pakistan (ie. how much we need them). Considering that the majority of the Pakistani population hates our guts, protests our policies at the drop of a hat, is biggoted towards Christians and kills them, won't let our CIA interview Kahn (nuclear weapons proliferator) and actually harbors and helps al-Qaeda, I don't have much use for this rat-hole of a country.
Our media minimize every effort of the President, and then write articles commenting that he is doing nothing. Last week Dick Morris said that President Bush is lazy!!!
People in Baltimore who believe that they are informed by reading the SUN, would not even know that the President was abroad last week, unless they read all the way to the "world" page near the back of the paper, where there was one photo of him with a cricket bat.
I wonder what 'average' Americans would think if they saw the fabulout photo of the presidential limousine being escorted in India by a mounted guard of honour (British spelling!) It was breathtaking in its majesty. The demmedia would die before they would share that image with their readers.
Amazing. Documented fact, data and information is blindly dismissed by the Port Deal Hysterics as "RNC Spin" At the same time they scream every rumor, guilt by association accusation and DNC Talking Point as "Fact". Funny how a supposed "Real Conservatives" is so desperate to mindlessly regurgitate every DNC talking point. You actions speak LOUDER then your words RWB. So who do you work for? DNC, Moveon.org? Act up? You know you DNC mouthpieces don't fool anyone. Pretty obvious what side you really are on. So which Moveon.org seminar did you attend RWB? Were you in Mike Moore's group or Moby's?
More attacks from the troll, which are getting more hysterical by the minute. That's really all you know how to do isn't it? Either everyone agrees with MNJohnnie and his globalist Free Trade policies, open borders and port sellouts to nations with terrorist ties or they're "DNC mouthpieces". How laughable can you get?
Answer the question: if Bill Clinton were president could we expect MNJohnnie to bounce from thread to thread telling everyone who isn't too thrilled about letting this Middle Eastern country manage our ports to shut up because Bill knows best? I'll wait patiently for your reply.
