"US and-Communist witch hunt of the 1950s."
Witch hunt? Yeah, I love Coulter and I will use her as a reference, but hundreds of Communist spies within the government is hardly a "witch hunt." Russia was only pointing nuclear arms at us for 40 years and killing MILLIONS of it's own people, why can't we all be Communists and spread a Communist agenda? It frustrates me to the bone sometimes.
I am a young guy, and I find it sad that up until I read about McCarthy, I seriously thought he was a bad guy. Because that is what I grew up seeing and learning in class and the television. This crap just plain infuriates me!

Tension reached fever pitchGosh, the suspense is killing me. Which film that I will never see will win the big awards? Will it be Crash or will Capote stun us all? How will I make it through the day?

I for one want Bareback Mountian and the other fruity films to sweep the Oscars. Hollyweird has thrown down the gauntlet, pushed in all it's chips by saying "these films are now our standard and future and there's nothing you can do about it." I'll love showing them how wrong they are.
Plus I'll thoroughly enjoy pointing out how Hollyweird has completely disconnected from real Americans and only flaming leftist moonbats will be able to defend it, with no cover from the movie wackos.

If humpback wins 5 Oscars than everyone who bought a ticket to see the movie could get one.
As far as for Cloonie's "All Commies go to Heaven" I love the way nobody mentions that Murrow's friend Duggan who is portrayed in the film as the unjustly persecuted victim, did turn out to be a soviet spy. Sure, his guilt wasn't known for sure during the time when Murrow was defending him, but released soviet documents have long ago settled the matter.
Maybe Clooney can make a anti-death penalty movie about the guy in Virginia that maintained his innocence to the end, even getting on the cover of Time or Newsweek. Ten years after his execution his supporters got the governor to authorize DNA test that weren't available at the time of his execution. The left was abuzz with anticipation, but they got real quiet when the DNA test established his guilt beyond any doubt. If Clooney could ignore the guys guilt the same way he ignored Duggan's, he would have one heck of a movie.

There is not one best picture nominee here I would consider seeing.
Compare that with, say, some of the nominees for 1942, another year we were at war:
Mrs. Miniver, Kings Row, Wake Island, Pride of the Yankees, Yankee Doodle Dandy.
If we had the press and the Hollywood elite we have now in 1942, we would all be speaking German.

This is the first year that not one single movie is worth seeing. No buzz generated from the nominations, doubt there will be any buzz generated from the awards.

I just watched Walk The line last night. It was a wonderful film and I hope it wins something. But I'm not holding my breath.
When Hollywood comes out of the closet tonight and sucks up to the gay agenda I pray it tolls it's own death knell.
The true face of Hollywood is not bronzed and beautyfull./ It's slickly and pale from years in the closet and exposed to the light of day may it rot and die.

""Oscar has gone very serious this year," Grove said of the nominees. "In the past, the Oscars were only about great filmmaking and entertainment, but now its about passing on an important message.""
Evidently, in this era of the "Great Satan" (to them - Bush, of course), Hollywood en masse has seen fit to come out of the closet, beat its collective chest (like King Kong) and shout out: "WE'RE LIBERALS, WE'RE PROUD, AND WE'VE GOT AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE!"
Why do I have a feeling no one's going to be listening this year?

Its a liberal party. America is racist, filled with evil homophobic conservatives and persecutes Commies. Quite an Oscars evening tonight.

Brokedick Mountain? Hollyweird libs wonder why they're so disconnected from reality? Fire up the buldozer and level the scummy place...Surely there are real directors and producer's coming up like Gibson, and Eastwood, in America that will honor their/our country.

"Tension reached fever pitch as Hollywood began the final countdown to Sunday's Oscars, with a posse of "serious" films, led by "Brokeback Mountain," set to overrun the big night."
Laughing out loud here.... The only fever was on the screen when those two guys found each other on the prarie alone with their horses. I guess they could have chosen the horses over each other....that would have really gotten them into Oscar contention.
