Bush: "I did not have sex with that woman, Katrina."
Now they need to clarify the Port deal. "Owning our Ports" "Control of security"
AP dose not know its A from a hole in the ground.
AP Sux
I'm sure this will be the top story on Countdown With That Fool on Monday. Not.
The problem is, the retraction never gets as much attention or air time as the original smear. So the damage is done. The media got what it wanted. They succeeded in putting out another slam on Bush and that's what will stick in the public's mind. They knew they were lying. They just didn't expect to get caught. And that they did doesn't matter in the least to them. They got what they wanted and managed to again plant more negatives in the public mind about Bush. Mission accomplished. The retraction will get little notice and no air time, certainly not to the level of the story's original breathless and hysterical headlines.
they gave 2 days of coverage to this story and will only mention quickly under their breath if at all the clarification.
The AP needs about a hundred apologies just in 2006. Just pathetic how low the MSM has become.

Another nail in the coffin of the dinosaur "mainstream" Democrat news media.
This was nothing less than a political hit-and-run by the AP. "I thought I hit a road sign. Sorry."
Skull *uck the ap!

Quote from Terry Ebbert, New Orleans' homeland security chief, August 31, 2005 to the AP:"It's a very slow rise, and it will remain so until we plug that breach. I think we can get [the breach] stabilized in a few hours"
They who believe the MSM are the ones that Lenin and Stalin could only dream about.
Unbelievably, the Houston Chronicle, this very morning, has a lead editorial on the opinions page about President Bush being warned that the levees might be "breached." What idiots.
amazing..the facts be damned, it's Bush's fault..
