PC is why I said Garand.......I do use a old TRW built M1A with one of Mr Unertl's fine USMC issue 10X chunks of expensive glass. Albeit I do not risk carrying that expensive and favorite rig into a state where the 2nd is not honored. TX and NM have never given me any grief over it , cased and in the back of the FJ80....
Any other state I pack an old unaltered M1 Garand bought from DCM years ago....New DCM outlet aka CMP still has em for sale ! Good Cheap rigs , not happy to have one taken from me but at least I wouldn't cry myself to sleep for a decade if I lost that vs the TRW rig !.....I hear they are battle tested even........:o)
What kind of groups can you expect from a rack grade Garand firing high quality ammo?
I think I'm going to have to, and real soon.
I'll get one of the service grades. I won't cry myself to sleep if I lose that. I would definetely mourn long and hard if something happened to the M1A.
Where'd you get that Unertl? I've got one of SAs scopes on top of mine. I'm pretty happy with it, but I haven't really beaten the crap out of it yet. Hope I never have to, but those Unertls take a licking and keep on ticking.
Damn....now I'll have to rearrange the gun safe again. It's getting pretty crowded in there.
