Gee, since when did Autistic people have trouble walking? Musta been a recent development considering all the Autistic people I saw at the Autism Walks the last couple of years. Maybe this spiteful cow should think about who those spots are REALLY meant for- namely people who have trouble walking anything beyond a short distance, ya know, like people who had abdominal surgery or chronic knee problems?
Having seen a lot of Autistic people and some Football players on a Monday, I'd say Mac and Trot have a better argument for using those spots than she does.
Exactly why do we need to have 4 parking spots for every handicapped person anyway? Most of the people I see using those spots only have a relative (who's not with them) who has a handicap and are just abusing the hang tag.
If she wants to just pointlessly harass people, why doesn't she join MADD?

Bitter?
They needed the handicapped parking spaces to fit their inflated egos.
T.O.'s fault.
And a woman will plenty of free time.
I don't excuse McNabb and Trotter one minute for parking in a handicapped space, let alone not showing up for court, but I agree that it sounds peculiar that one can obtain a handicapped parking permit for an autistic person unless that person also has physical infirmities.
"The men are among an estimated 300 people in the New Jersey community who have received police complaints filed by Maryann Cottrell, a crusader..."
Beware the crusaders, the reformed reformers and the terminally restless.
Donnie Mac was probably afraid Terrell Owens might be waiting for him in the parking lot. |
Trot and McChunky can choose to find a job that will leave them in less pain on Monday mornings.
I agree with most of your points however, I think your rant was based on bitterness towards the woman because she went after a few beloved Eagles players.
Guess they were too busy slurping down Mamma McNabb's chunky soup...
The wheels seem to be coming off the McNabb bus. The "Sainted One" whom no one dare criticize has shown himself to be a poor leader and now a prick for parking in a handy space.
Lies!!! All lies!!!
Also, there's a good possibility that McNabb needed the handicapped spot if he was recovering from hernia surgery. I had that last year, and normally you'd have to wake up laying behind a dumpster to simulate the feeling you have for about a week. The catheter is the worst. I fully believe they use barbed wire and steel wool on the tip of that thing.
I'm curious Ms. Cottrell, what is this exactly? An adult who hasn't matured? or a kid who is super sophisticated?
I can't stand them.
I think they out to let them park in no parking zones. Then, if they get a ticket, they can prove to a judge that they were handicapped.
We've had a surprisingly large number of posts without having one of these "special treament for the old, handicapped, fat, lazy or on welfare" apologists show up.
I took the time to read the whole thread and am shocked that somebody didn't ask this question -- especially you OW. Of course, I figure somebody will steal my thunder before I get finished writing and proofreading.
Why in the HELL does a sports bar need to have handicapped parking spots? And I'll carry it one more step. Why does this heifer care who is parking where at a sports bar? I don't see a person who has autism or that person's caregiver having any reason or need to park in a handicapped spot at a sports bar.
This reeks of a setup. How long did she have to stalk this place or these drivers to be able to catch them parking illegally?
In the interest of of full disclosure, I'm a Cowboys fan.
