The removal of the Confederate flag from Amherst County's official seal has upset Southern heritage groups, who contend residents weren't told of the change. County officials acknowledge the image was quietly removed in August 2004 to avoid an uproar.

"LoL. That was one "secret" which was revealed as soon as the first document was stamped.

What is next some German outraged because the Swastica has been removed from state documents?"

Wow, another ignorant yankee compares the german swastica to the Confederate flag. Why am I not surprised? The flag symbol might not be appropriate for an Illinois document, but this is Virginia who undeniably had a proud Confederate heritage.

The truth is that nobody in here knows what would've really happened if the South had won the civil war.

However, it is not unreasonable to make an educated guess. Irrespective of whether the states had a right to leave the Union in 1861, the fact is that the United States would have been dissolved into two or more separate countries at a time when the European powers were at their maximum expansion was underway.

"Now it is clear the enormous damage the Slavers did to the entire region as well as the Union."

Are you talking about the United States of America where the Federal Goverment had no law banning slavery in an organized state until after the Civil War began?

Were you capable of reading clearly you might know that I never said anything about ME being attacked but the County.
But someone who believes Big Government started at the END of the Civil War is clueless all around. The United States government shrank at the end of the war after the massive demands of the war effort ended.

It is particularly funny to claim that the RATS are the ones who hate the South when it was the Southern RATS who promoted the racism poisoning the American bloodstream ever since the Civil War. If some of those RAT-loving southerners are finally coming around to supporting the Union I can only applaud. IT IS ABOUT TIME.

You may be right with regard to further fragmentation.

Had the Germans won WWI the milirarism of the Kaiser would have been rewarded. You should know that the Nazi party was a product of the German Army's political manuvering and that the Lenin cell was conveyed into Russia by the German Army. Russia was a dead letter as a viable country.

Like Slavery Communism had to be allowed to expose itself through its evil deeds and impracticality.

Oh, you mean like this?

Unfortunately for "...most of the legal scholars of the day..." their understanding of the Constitution was not that of the Founders. This inability to understand the basic document led to the destruction of the South and its evil and anti-American system.

NONE of the Founders believed the State could repeal its ratification. Madison blew that fallacy out of the water in his letter to Hamilton during the NY State Ratification Convention.

How typical to blame my regard for the truth on public schools this is the argument of a man with nothing to say except the crackpot theory of history. The public schools I attended where in the deep South wherein a love of the Cornfederacy was paramount. Those delusions are easily overcome when a concern for truth overwhelms petty resentments and no conern for justice.

Your threat to ignore me is hilarious since you bozos cannot help flaunting your ignorance of history.

LoL. I was always the kid who liked to kick over the hornets' nest. The buzzing of these whackjobs is much less exciting.

Sherman was definitely a hero of the first order. And recognized for his brilliant leadership across the globe.
Freedom loving Americans salute you General William.

"It is particularly funny to claim that the RATS are the ones who hate the South when it was the Southern RATS..."

You are confusing your Rats. Them Rats and these Rats are two different kind of Rats.

The Rats that hate the South now are the Rats of radical socialist, big government and mulitcultural theology, mixed in with some anti-American pretext.

The South now is one of the most vibrant economic areas of the world, with cultural depth basked in Family, God, and Country. It is these values that are under attack now, not the symbol of the Confederacy.

Nazism was the ideological cousin to the Slaver mentality. Master race- inferiors races.

BTW I am an American born and raised (probably further South than you) in the South wherein my family still resides. No one loves Southerners more than I but defenders of Treason are not more lovable because they speak with a drawl rather than a New England twang.

Virginia descrated its proud role in the founding of our Union by it treason in 1861. George Washington would have been the first in the field to defend the Union. Even Jefferson would have condemned the demented actions of the Slaver oligarchy.

I am talking about the United States which was treacherously attacked by Slaver forces. The same nation which had bent over backward to mollify the Slaver demands; which used its forces to return slaves to the whip and the lash even from states where it was illegal; which had been controlled for almost its entire history by Southern presidents, Southern congresses, Southern Supreme Court justices. You must be unaware of that United States.

Lincoln was not going to free the slaves but he WAS going to preserve the Union and suppress the insurrection instigated by the Party of Treason. Just like its namesake today America was threatened and its war effort weakened by the Democrat Party in the South and North.

It was only for the South that the war was about slavery. And for the South that was ALL it was about.

LoL. What next pictures of Icareus with his wings falling off? Or Jews in the SS?

Whatever tiny number of blacks picked up arms must have been kept secret from the Cornfederate government since they rejected the idea for almost the whole time of the war.

Good morning.
"For pete's sake...there must be more important things to deal with there in Virginia"

What could be more important than bureaucrats deciding quietly, on the sly, to decide what is right and proper for the people?

Admittedly bureaucrats make those decisions all the time, but usually they make an attempt at following procedure, and when they don't the people usually make some sort of stink.

Why does it matter how small the deed was, or how long it took to be noticed? I guess it is just not important in Minnesota.

Not by me, my family is all from the South. Those Southerns willing to come over to the GOP are welcome. When I was a kid that was called the N#gger Lover's party. Anyone willing to reject the RAT racism and stand up for American values is a welcome ally.

RAT actions are consistently anti-American in 1861 and 2006.
