The removal of the Confederate flag from Amherst County's official seal has upset Southern heritage groups, who contend residents weren't told of the change. County officials acknowledge the image was quietly removed in August 2004 to avoid an uproar.

I hope you are having a good time with these flights of fancy and just peeing yourself because of your pretended wit.

Others have criticized ole Andy for being a bit bloodthirsty it is true but I kind of give him a bread considering his environment, one which LIVED on blood and split it with hysterical readiness. Such one understands as over-compensation for living upon a dishonorable system. Thus, the emphasis on personal honor since there was NO social honor underlying men.

It's always fun to get the latest spin from Lie-owa. Let's take them in order, shall we?

Your first claim was, "Anderson was not being starved. He was being supplied daily from the city of Charleston. It was, in fact, Anderson who rejected the idea of federal resupply."

Well that is a flat-out falsehood which you tried to modify with your later canard, "Supplies were not cut off until news of the reinforcement." The fact is that Beauregard was ordered to cut off supplies on April 2nd, two days before Lincoln gave Fox the go-ahead to proceed with the resupply effort.

Link

Anderson's concerns about supplies was well documented. From the first report on his move to Sumter, where he said he had about 4 month's provisions, to the report he made to Fox, where he said he could hold out for only two more weeks, Anderson made his supply crisis plain. Lincoln's choice was clear, allow Anderson to be starved into surrender or to send him supplies. He chose the later and the south chose war. And suffered the consequences.

Why would Jim want to wade through all you Supporters of Traitors' garbage? I am sure he has much more important things to do like watching paint dry.

A courtesy ping is just that.

Mention someone's name, ping him to the thread.

Cad chimed in with some of the same kind of slackjawed, slobbering malediction that capitan_refugio was indulging to the max just before he got nuked with a fresh, brazen lie still smoking on his lips, and Cad proceeded to get down on his belly and crawl, without being asked, and repudiated his friend.

The old post of Cad's that I referred to was posted to the party I pinged.

So now you know.

Oh, and as for "traitors": Please name all the Confederates who stood trial for "treason" for defending their States against the usurpations of Abraham Lincoln and his faction.

You are totally delusional if you think that any Southern Freeper on this board advocates such filth.

It amazes me that so many of you "Brigade" types can't realize that one can disagree with our government, and yet be loyal to our country. I personally cringe, at what Lincoln and his tyranny did to our republic, but we are, for better or worse, ONE country for now.

The only reason some of the Traitors were not tried was because the People were sick of the War and the weakened president following the Great Abraham (Beloved by ALL Patriots) could not find the resolve to do it.

Though the Great Abraham was so kindly and merciful towards this scum that he probably would not have tried them either.

Typical the you would equate a third rater to a giant like Marshall.

How would you know a "third rater"?

Oh, wait -- anyone who disagrees with you is automatically "third rate", right, knucklehead?

That's how you can tell a knucklehead. Everyone who agrees with him is a "giant", because he's about two feet tall himself.

It was a Union which existed even though all the states did not ratify the Articles until 1781 when the War was almost over.

Yeah, "not everyone was in the Union, but everyone was in the Union because I said so".

Listen to yourself.

And wipe that little bit of drool off your chin.

No, knucklehead, not "some" -- go on, name me a Confederate who was convicted of treason. Name me one. Just one.

Tell me why Jefferson Davis wasn't tried for treason. You know why, you've read these threads and it has been laid out and documented for you. Why wasn't Jefferson Davis tried for treason?

You know why.

Listen to yourself, oozing sycophancy and phony religiosity. Big Brother this, Big Brother that, I bellyfeel Big Brother.

And you call yourself a citizen of the United States.

Like I said, two feet tall.
