Yahoo Canada ^ | March 2, 2006 | Camille Bains

Pot crusader Marc Emery says his appearance on the news program 60 Minutes on Sunday will be an opportunity for Americans to see him as just an ordinary guy who regards himself as the Luke Skywalker against their government's Darth Vader tactics.

Oh, they are "Holier than thou". I got ya!

Its all a moral issue with them, but they cannot prove pot is bad in any way. If it isn't bad in any way, it is not immoral to use it.

I guess they won't be able to understand that either.

Interesting link. I see they treat Ritalin addiction too.
From your link:
Ritalin is as addictive as meth. Ritalin is as dangerous as meth. Symptoms of Ritalin overdose:
vomiting, agitation, tremors, hyperreflexia muscle twitching, convulsions (may be followed by coma), confusion, hallucinations, delirium, sweating flushing, headache, hyperpyrexia, tachycardia palpitations, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension, mydriasis, dryness of mucous membranes, exaggerated feeling of elation, enlarging of the pupil of the eye, extremely elevated body temperature, high blood pressure, DEATH

Marijuana has none of these symptoms. Marijuana has never killed anyone. Marijuana is a safer drug to treat hyperactivity than Ritalin. Why do we promote the addictive and dangerous drug Ritalin, for children?

SACRED PLANT

It truly is. I think that's why they hate it.

Do a google search on "withdrawal symptoms" and see what you come up with. My list started with Zoloft and went into Zyprexa and on and on and on. Didn't even get to alcohol and tobacco. You would be posting all day to post each drug that has extremely dangerous side effects from withdrawal, many of which include death and most of them prescription drugs. No deaths from "withdrawal" from marijuana though. No serious side effects either. Again, the big lie technique has worked...on some people. Too many people. "Marijuana is dangerous, it is bad, it should be banned". Swallowed hook, line and sinker by the most stupid.

(snip)The findings could explain in part the problems with thinking or remembering found in other studies of marijuana users, according to study authors Ronald Herning, PhD, and Jean Lud Cadet, MD, of the National Institute on Drug Abuse in Baltimore, Md.

The study involved 54 marijuana users and 18 control subjects. The marijuana users volunteered to take part in a month-long inpatient program. (snip)

I appreciate you having presented this study. I've been studying cannabis for about 33 years and there have been few weeks that experiments were not performed. What I have found is that I work with some relatively complicated software driven machinery and with hundreds of other people and I do this with complete competence. I also know dozens of other persons who have used cannabis for that long and almost everyone of them are doing great mentally. The first guy I ever smoked marijuana with is a self made millionaire and a well respected citizen. If there were any great amount of real problems with cannabis use - I think it would be showing up in a notable way.

Huge doobie!

But seriously - the stuff I'm used to only takes about 2 to 4 hits. And on that chord - many are under the wrong impression that potent cannabis means users get way higher - Wrong, cannabis high is best described as a plateau. After getting to the plateau - there is no reason to consume any more. The good thing about potent cannabis is that you don't have to smoke a bale of it to get a nice buzz. This is off topic, but I ordered some of that "legal bud" and my wife and I tried it out. We sat and smoked the equivalent of a couple of large joints with no results. My wife asked - what's the point in this stuff?

"Smoking dope with enthusiasm?"

I think that fairly well describes the approach many users take.

Marijuana?

No symptoms at all. I never had any.

Vitamin A? Symptoms up to death.

Very good find, mugs. Call Mojave and tell him.

Not worth the effort. It makes no difference to crusaders. It's a religious battle with them. I'm sure they're over at Culture Wars right now trying to come up with more excuses for their sin war.

Not always that easy to find, there is info out there that you can make some sense of.

Ritalin is as addictive as meth.

So potheads are entitled to sell dope? Entitlement logic.
