much of it manufactured but regardless ya got to deal with it.Exactly, and it can be done while still taking the high road. I saw one of the White House PR people on Hairball last night and he was not good. He used the phrase "there's lots of blame to go around" which should never be spoken. He didn't correct the "topping the levees" vs "breaching the levees" lie. I was...well, upset.

Just a guess on my part
But maybe the reason you are getting the emails .. other then the seminar emails ... is because you have made "general statements" about the fears/concerns folks have regarding the ports
There are very sensitive folks out there

Wow. Tony is doing historical revisionism this moring.
Yes, Tony, you did use the word 'chickens' when referring to those opposed to the ports deal. And you have also used 'fear' and 'afraid' many time while referring to those opposed to the deal.
No one is hiding under their beds, Tony. Gosh.

I though the President's speech in India earlier was very good.
Did you all see these 2 disgusting articles - some more heavy Bush-bashing by the Drive-by Media ---
The bungling Bush presidency is falling apart
Newsday ^ | March 3, 2006 | James Klurfeld
Posted on 03/03/2006 3:26:40 AM PST by Cannoneer No. 4
An old acquaintance in Washington - a former member of Republican administrations whose foreign policy views are decidedly hard-line - recently had this to say to a friend about the Bush administration: This might be the most inept administration in American history.
But it should come as no surprise that President George W. Bush has fallen to an approval rating of 34 percent in a recent national poll. Just look at the events in this winter of his discontent:
Members of his own party have turned against him on the issues of whether a company owned by the United Arab Emirates should control six major ports in the United States.
As more and more information leaks out about the unauthorized and very likely illegal eavesdropping by the National Security Administration, there is more talk - only whispered at the moment - that there ought to be an impeachment inquiry into Bush's behavior.
But I fear we are now seeing the other side of the coin with Bush. His lack of historical perspective, his crusading religiousness, his Texas-style shoot-first-ask-questions-later approach to complex problems - that is, all the shortcomings that were obvious from the beginning of his presidency - seem to be catching up with him now. It's one thing to be a decisive leader. It is quite another to be consistently making the wrong decisions.
This is a presidency coming unraveled before our eyes. It is not a pretty sight, and it is not good for the country. What a difference a year makes. After his re-election, Bush said that he would use his political capital.
Soon he won't have any left. Then what?

Bush's Nonsense Coming To An End (Major-Mega Barf Alert!)
San Antonio Express-News ^ | 03/03/2006 | Mansour El-Kikhia

Well, it has finally happened. Americans are regaining their senses, and the cycle of ignorance that has gripped this nation for the past five years is relinquishing its hold.
Seeing the end in sight, the rats have begun to jump ship and retreat into their holes, along with their media pundits, Barbie dolls and think-tank experts. It seems Americans have had enough of the "fair and balanced" news and the policies that caused their mental constipation.
In record time, the United States has been transformed from a free and secure nation, loved and respected by much of the world, to one that is less secure and less free. And while radical and fringe terrorist groups in 2001 might have had an ax to grind with the United Sates, today many more such groups have been spawned and target American life and property.
Most important, "the war on terror," the cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy, is providing support for dictators to decimate all legitimate opposition within their societies, further increasing radicalism and anti-Americanism.
As evidenced by the White House, Congress and the new Supreme Court, the radical right has subjugated America's domestic and foreign policy to its will. This faction is attempting to turn back time by eliminating the political and social gains Americans fought so hard to win. New economic policies are targeting the legacies of the New Deal and the Great Society and unleashing huge corporations to act with impunity.
