VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (March 2) - Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson, criticized by some evangelicals for comments about Venezuela's president and Israel's prime minister, lost a bid for re-election to the National Religious Broadcasters' board of directors.
Robertson, founder of the Virginia Beach-based Christian Broadcasting Network, was one of 38 candidates for 33 board seats during the NRB's recent convention. The group represents mostly evangelical radio and TV broadcasters.
NRB President Frank Wright said there was no broad effort to distance the group from Robertson. But "there was broad dismay with some of Pat's comments and a feeling they were not helpful to Christian broadcasters in general," he said in Wednesday's Washington Post.

Pat Robertson's Regent University Law School came face to face with the ABA's accreditation process. When Regent graduated its first law students, the ABA withheld accreditation. This meant that the law students would not be able to take the Bar examination and would never be able to practice law. Fortunately, Regent Law School taught their students how to litigate. Several of the students, on their own, filed a federal suit against the ABA alleging antitrust violations. These students drafted the lawsuit while studying for final exams. This team of bleary-eyed law students, who suffered sleep deprivation while preparing for final exams and preparing their first federal lawsuit, ultimately brought the ABA to its knees. The ABA agreed to settle with the students by granting full accreditation to Regent if the students agreed to dismiss their suit. One has to wonder why, if the ABA really had a good case to withhold accreditation, did it bow down to a group of young, inexperienced law students? The answer is simple. In reviewing the ABA's accreditation process, it is clear the ABA is arbitrary and is out to push its agenda. Just like most of the ABA programs, the ABA is not truly concerned with the legal profession or the quality of legal education as much as it is with wielding immense political power to achieve its liberal agenda.
Pat Robertson, said what he believed and he said the same things we would say here....
You must never worship or bow down to them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God who will not share your affection with any other god! I do not leave unpunished the sins of those who hate me, but I punish the children for the sins of their parents to the third and fourth generations. But I lavish my love on those who love me and obey my commands, even for a thousand generations. (Ex. 20:5-6)
Second.
He will not be missed.
I hope he's good with God, I really do, but he's worthless on earth as far as I'm concerned.
I'm sure God has some sort of mission for him, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what it is.
You don't HAVE to say everything that just pops into your mind.
Strange that this scripture was on CBN this morning..I read the whole Bible not just the NT...
It was a reading on my calender this morning too.
He's too pompous. He's also an embarrassment, in my opinion.
Must be god's will Pat, don't take it personally.
I didn't get the scripture from my calender..I got it from CBN while looking to see if anything was there about this article..
I know thats whats so cool about it. God confirms His Word in the mouth of two or three witnesses always.

Do we have closet secularists posting here on FR?
I believe we have many on here struggling with secular humanism and their faith. Paul said a double-minded man was unstable in all his ways.
Yes it has been confirmed..I forgot and now you reminded me, where two ir more gather in his name..I wasn't going to say anything back to that person but I got this strong feeling I should..
The Dobson story on the Alito letter came out yesterday and there is a pattern of negative stories about the Robertsons, Falwells, Dobsons etc. Either the AP is going after them like talk radio goes after Clintons, Kennedys and Byrds or someone else is and giving AP the tips on what those guys are saying on radio and TV to create negative publicity.
Say goodnight, Pat.
