This is a must-see seven-minute long video. Governor Richardson has rewarded over 60 cronies with unapproved political jobs created especially for them at a cost of over $3.5 million per year. Now that amount of money may not seem like much compared to salaries for big eastern or left coast states, but they are big for New Mexico. These jobs are in addition to the 647 positions authorized by the legislature. The level of corruption is amazing, even for those of us used to it here in NM.

When you've been successful at the top...why would anyone think he wouldn't do the same thing in New Mexico.....

Wow. Monica's gonna be mad that he didn't get her that UN job since he gets everybody else one.

Another Richardson story:

New CYFD secretary was once accused of domestic violence (NM, Richardson appointee) ^

This sounds more like old Mexico rather than New Mexico. Man, I hope American voters hold US leaders to real legal and ethical standards because if they do not, we are going to look like a third world dump in no time. So far, it appears, the Democrats have humanist "ethics" and that the law does not apply to them.

The patron system is alive and well. I'll never forget the time in early 2003 when I attended a NM First Town Hall and heard a couple Richardson appointees extolling the benefits of patronage.

All this is still Bush's fault because had he not been "selected", Gore would be President and Richardson would have remained Energy Secretary < /Sarcasm >
