I heard a clip of this guy on the radio today, misrepresenting the facts of this deal. :owning our ports: :in charge of security:
these congress critters are worried about staying in power not about security.
To: AntiGuv
Hey DH, rather then be a PR Whore, maybe you can explain why the head of P&O Security was not asked ONE question by Congress? NOT one question? Don't lie to us you Media Whore that this is about Security when you morons did not even ask the official most directly responsible a signal question. There will be a political price to pay for this stupidity you PR Whores.

The Republicans in the House don't have the luxury of six-year terms. They know that with 70% of the voters opposed to the UAE deal they will be sitting ducks in the fall elections if they go along with the President's ill-fated venture. If the Democrats manage to take the House over this, the President's term is effectively over. Just as in the Miers mess, the conservative Republicans better dig in and hold the line or they and the President will be toast.

Mindless hysteria. Duncan Hunter ought to know better.

Why is it I'm not surprised at all to see Duncan Hunter roll over for AlQaida and decide that we really don't need Dubai anymore ~ not as a foreign invester in our shipping infrastructure, and probably not as our primary base of operations for actions in Iraq and elsewhere in the Middle East.
Or is the man simply "stuck on stupid", as is usually the case when he attempts to grapple with an issue.

When we finish rounding up all the arabs, we can get rid of the Mexicans, then the Chinese, and oh yes, anyone from Central and South America.
Have we forgotten anyone?

They don't know how to be winners, they've been in the minority for so long that they don't know how to handle power, that's why they are tossing it away. These idiots haven't stood by this president, and they're going to taste the bitter fruit of those actions when once again they are in the minority and this country is destroyed by terrorists. Then they'll weep and moan about why didn't anyone DO anything.

Right you are. After this, how can these geniuses continue to permit our armed forces to operate out of the UAE, Kuwait, or Bahrain? Isn't that an even more egregious example of getting foreigners involved in our national security?

Well ... if doing the "right" thing hands over power to the Democrats in a big way and for the foreseeable future ... do the political thing. There are other fish to fry and this situation just seems stupid for the Pres to waste time on.
Perception IS reality in most Americans minds. And it ain't hard to understand how most stupid Americans see this ... Mohamed and friends running around the docs of US ports opening containers to let in their terrorist friends and empty out chemical and biological weapons.

If the Democrats take the House, it will be because these jerks hand it to them.
But at least you're not tryin to pass off their "problems" as principle, as we all know it's PANDERING.
