O'Reilly Defends Gregory
O'Reilly Factor | 3/2/06 | oz

Posted on 03/02/2006 6:00:43 PM PST by ozzymandus

Bill O'Reilly just defended David Gregory's drunken appearance on Imus radio show tonight on "The Factor". O'Reilly claimed Gregory was a "good guy", and "was probably just tired" so "I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt". Even guest Juan Williams was amazed, saying Gregory had ruined his credibility.

The best part was all the laughter in the background. I'm wondering if Chuck, Bernard, or Lou are off the floor yet!

"David Gregory's drunken appearance"

You mean ***apparent*** drunken appearance? Or, perhaps seemingly addled appearance?

To assume and assert otherwise is what the MSM does.

O'Reilly will sometimes dance with the devil....thus the occasional kissing of the MSM's butt. David Gregory is an ignorant, arrogant fool, and has as much savvy as Don Imus.

What's up with this guy, anyway? I find O'Reilly interesting, but sometimes he makes me furious.

O'Reilly is not conservative.  O'Reilly is not liberal.  O'Reilly is simply an opportunist who "goes with the flow" that he thinks will float his boat.  I dismissed him more than 2 years ago.

I don't find him interesting, in the slightest.

I watch Britt Hume on Fox, FNS, occassionally Beltway Boys and I'm beginning to get interested in Journal Editorial Report, but beyond that I'm quickly losiing interest.

O'Reilly? What is up with O'Reilly?

He's a Craftsman.
He's a Snap-On.

He's a tool.

O'Reilly is a pompous ass. I cannot believe that he enjoys high ratings. I can only watch him for less than 60 secs before changing channels

To suggest that Gregory wasn't drunk or high is just ridiculous. That said, I doubt there are very many people who haven't made drunken asses out of themselves at some point. Unfortunately for Gregory, he just happened to be calling in to a live television show.

Juan Williams appeared stunned to find out O'Reilly's opinion.

O'Reilly still cant call out one of his own.

To assume and assert otherwise is what the MSM does.

Grow up. Listen to the tape. Imagine the difference between a sideways remark and a broadcast to millions.

Didn't really expect to hear from any gregory defenders. Your screen name fits you well.

Maybe Gregory was sleepy instead of drunk as O'Reilly suggested (I doubt that).

But, if he was, Gregory needs to get his ass into a different profession.

A reporter should not need sleep that badly. If you are going to be up all night covering a huge story, it would not be okay to act like that in the morning.

You would still be expected to act decently.

Gregory lost it completely. He should be fired.

C'mon - - Gregory has made an (even bigger) idiot of himself for everyone to see, and O'Reilly is just showing his audience that he's like a father figure who is not about to "pile on" over the antics of a silly child. Beating up Gregory right now is the easiest thing in the world.

O'Reilly is simply an opportunist who "goes with the flow" that he thinks will float his boat. I dismissed him more than 2 years ago.

He is a populist, plain and simple.

He tries to gauge which way the wind blows, while maintaining some kind of consistancy.

The one thing I do like him, is that, on the right night and with a liberal guest, he can destroy them with ease.

But thats more or less just being competant, he looks better because everyone else is just so bad.
