There are some beautiful areas around here. Hendersonville is growing fast, though I don't go down there much but they have the cutest downtown. Asheville has a great downtown, too. Asheville has a large (so they say) homosexual population but I mostly ignore them. We had a pro-marriage demonstration downtown a few years ago and the homosexuals who showed up really embarrassed themselves and several arrests were made. Quite a show - lol. But there are a lot of good, kind-hearted people here and the churches are great. Of course winter can be a pain but it sure makes you appreciate spring!

But there's not the typical maladies of big city vices like adult book stores, strip clubs, gay bars that are "out" and promoted....stuff that tends to degrade life for retirees....? Like the idea of good churches....
