American forces in Iraq have reportedly detained 61 people linked to al-Qaeda Iraq led by Jordanian terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
Spokesman of multinational forces in Iraq, General Rick Lynch said in a statement announced earlier today the detained al-Qaeda members were captured during an operation on a training camp near the city of Felluce (Fallaujah) on Monday.
The US forces conduct regular operations in the Al Anbar region, a popular area for sheltering many foreign insurgents.

Hey, any or some of those 61 thugs could be a good "choir" to sing out the names, places, dates of even MORE al-Qaeida.

Please remember now we can't torture them. We can't feed them if they go on hunger strikes. We can't talk to them for fear it may hurt their sensitivities.
Oh for my Nung friends of yesteryear. They would make them rat out their mothers in a few minutes.

Good afternoon.

LOL! For a second there I thought you had written that Ramsey Clark had been captured.
I think I need a break.

First a nice helicopter ride with a fun game of Q & A. Followed by a relaxing bacon fat massage and just to be fair, an opportunity to sprint to freedom. Sounds like a plan to me.

"Thank you for all you do to enlighten."
I continue to feel a bit sheepish, because often some others here better enlighten with fewer words. We should all thank those at some of the blog sites and elsewhere that feed some facts to those in my low end position, that then drive us to share with others. We attempt to unravel a rather convoluted set of states/conditions. And no one is going to have all the answers. And obviose many things are not brought out in detail due to OPSEC (operational security). Loose lips sink ships. I for one have bitten my lips many a time, as I know others have, as to what could be set to print to make some points quite clear. Such is the way things must be.
Let us keep those prayers going up for our fine military to continue to do what must be done, and for a change in heart of some rather shady figures within the Iraqi circles of power.
One thing I bet every active Freeper would agree on. Is that Sadr is not the most wonderfull person in the world. ha ha. I'll play it safe.

Obviously the Anadolu News Agency didn't get the AP Style Guide memo that Al Qaeda members are to be identified as "militants."

"did these guys surrender without a fight?"
There were probably a lot of Knocks/Knocks after doors were kicked in after midnight and these thugs were captured sleeping in their wives's Burkas.
