Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder...as a female, I am left neutral at the photo of the lady you posted.
Seriously though I remember really enjoying our time in South Dakota...I always think of "North by Northwest" when I remember Mt. Rushmore. Too bad we couldn't get over to Wyoming..may we'll head west next time.
"In a news release titled 'Bypass South Dakota!', the Womens Medical Fund urged supporters to steer clear of South Dakota...SNIP...But we can do without Mount Rushmore, the Black Hills, the Badlands and the Corn Palace,' Anne Gaylor, director of the Fund, wrote."
Anne Gaylor and Annie Laurie Gaylor (Mother & Daughter fascists) founded the "Freedom FROM Religion Foundation," just so you all know who is REALLY behind this (useless, IMHO) boycott.

LOL--Brangelina, we're not going to the Black Hills this summer! We'll have to go, instead, to the South of France!
I thought Gaylor was head of the Freedom From Religion Association. I guess she is branching out.
I agree! :)
Yeah, I'm sure bike week in Sturgis will be deeply affected......NOT!!!!
It is an excellent idea for those who favor killing pre-born children to not vacation in South Dakota. The pro-choice crowd tends to be quite unsavory in behavior and appearance. The P. C. {pro-choice} people would blend in much better amongst their peers in San Francisco, Ithaca, and West Hollywood.
Guess this means you're unaware of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Black Hills National Forest (perhaps "Sturgis" rings a bell), and Badlands National Park. Each is a worthy vacation destination in itself, and they're all located in western South Dakota.
Yes, South Dakota has quite a tourism industry.
Oh,Big Deal!!Threatening to boycott S.D.with their families.WHAT FAMILIES?THEY'VE BEEN KILLING EM ALL!
Tom Daschle is deeply saddened ...
I've seen so many rocks and trees in my life, grew up in a town named for rocks, seen rocks and trees and fields foreign and domestic, no way I'd go to SoDak for anything other than the Frozen Four, which doesn't look to be heading to Vermillion any time soon, considering they have neither a rink nor a team of their own.
The NAACP boycott of South Carolina has been great the last five years. Hope SD's boycott goes just as well. :-)
Mm-kay. Your loss.

Whatever. ;O)
Plus they allow hunting, too.
Time to plan a trip to South Dakota!
I think I'll take the family down there and start filling out job applications...
Well, you should write to the PTB in SD and let them know!
