Did the AARP ever get around to apologizing for making this asshat "Man of the Year"?

My dues are up next month and I'm seriously considering canceling my membership. Any other AARP members considering doing the same? I heard there is supposed to be an alternative, more conservative retirees organization out there now, anyone know the name of it?

I wouldn't be a member except my folks signed me up. They will never get a nickel of my money! What good are they?

Great Scott, why are you throwing money at that liberal lobbying group?

Just one more reason I'd never join AARP. I understand they also have a problem with the RKBA.

"I'm seriously considering canceling my membership. Any other AARP members considering doing the same?"

When I turned 50, I started receiving solicitations from
AARP. I was not only insulted, but I also knew that they were leftist.
I always sent back the return envelope, that they had to pay for, telling them to get stuffed.

" My dues are up next month and I'm seriously considering canceling my membership.

I canceled my membership a couple years ago. Today I received a letter from the executive director stating they'd noticed I'd not re registered with them.

I took the card provided and magic-marked an "X" across it, then wrote on the registration form that I don't patronize socialists. I then placed it all in their postage paid envelope and placed it in the mail box.

The wife and I categorically refuse to be associated with that organization. I have web addresses for a couple alternative seniors programs but haven't followed up on it yet.
