US study shows gay marriage bans cause mental distress

Bans on same-sex marriages inflict psychological trauma on gays and lesbians, a US study concluded.

Does this “trauma” include death from HIV/AIDS or other STDs rampant in the homosexual community?

"Lesbians and gay men work just as hard as heterosexuals do in creating and maintaining committed relationships, but they do not get the same tangible benefits."

“The same tangible benefits" like children naturally conceived by the participants of the “committed relationship?”

Even when lesbian or gay couples create unsanctioned alternative families, they don't get the psychological or health benefits reportedly experienced by married couples, according to Herdt.

Could it be that they are not normal married couples?

"When we were able to marry in San Francisco, the burden of shame was lifted away," Gaffney said. "We had a taste of all we had missed. Thirty days later our marriage was invalidated and we felt the shame placed back upon us."

Nothing short of repentance and acceptance of Christian salvation combined with a genuine life style change can lift “the burden of shame.”

This is an outright lie. No “lesbian and gay couples” are denied the choice to marry as long as they marry someone of the opposite sex.

Another outright lie. There is no “fictitious stereotype” concerning homosexual promiscuity. Statistics from numerous studies included those published at the CDC confirm that promiscuity among homosexual couples is rampant.
