Guess you'll be sticking to older models then, right? Cars made after 2004 have those EDRs in them, I think. The black boxes. Of course, they might not transmit yet. Just collect info. But it's only a matter of time.

The black boxes. It changed from OBD I to OBDII.
The newer ones store a lot more data and can be read even after an accident.
It requires a scanner to reset any of the data.
