That makes no sense. Now, for the record, I'm still married to the mother of my only two biological children, so don't take this as defensiveness.

My genes survive no matter what the circumstances of procreation. From a scientific standpoint, it doesn't matter if I was single, married, anonymous sperm donor or even a rapist. If a child results, my genes continue, period. So, I don't understand at all your use of lineage.
