OFF TOPIC

Howlin .. I'm getting a new computer and I was wondering if there is an easy way .. software or hardware to transfer files from one computer to another ... especially my favorites/bookmarks .. that I can get before my hubby tells me we don't need to spend the money because he'll take care of it

I have so many it will take me years to manually transfer them all myself

When I do it, I usually just copy them all to a rewriteable CD, but there may be another way.

Let's ask RedBloodedAmerican.

Mo1 - I got a flash drive a few months ago and it's easy to transfer an entire file of research (different threads and articles) to the drive and then when you get the new computer, plug the small flash drive into your new computer and move everything back to your new hard drive.

Install the new hard drive and old hard drive by first setting the jumper to master or master with slave present (check the instructions on each hard drive label and using the proper hard drive cable - see below)

Install operating software on new drive

Restart computer and let the operating software recognize and install slave drive (as non-bootable drive)

Restart computer and transfer files or simply use this drive as storage, access though windows explorer or any other method desired to access files.
