Basically he accused the President of letting 9-11 happen on purpose.

Basically he accused the President of letting 9-11 happen on purpose. It has been clear for some time that the looney toons at DU and Kos are not solely responsible for the crazy stuff that is being thrown out there. Leahy, Durbin and others like them feed the hate and the paranoia.

I get the feeling that we can expect speeches like Leahy's to be the norm until November and beyond...
They don't give a whit about legislating..all they care about is blaming and campaigning.
I think the same is going on with the Republicans as well..at least some of them.

Feingold is reading a proclamation of the Board of Supervisors of Douglas County, Wisconsin. I think Madison is in Douglas County. They thinks the PA threatens the civil rights of all Americans. I am SO surprised.

Well...then I wonder how "President" Feingold would keep this country safe??
NO NSA wiretapping, no Patriot Act, no diplomatic or business dealings with ANY Arab country, close down Gitmo, pull out of Iraq DATE CERTAIN..(remember, Feingold's first campaign speech for POTUS, was saying that HE would be the only candiate "BRAVE" enough to call for a date certain pullout)...
Boy, I know I will feel safer if he were POTUS, NOT!!

It is a testament to how an overblown ego can blind a person to their own inadequacies. He will protect those librarians' outraged sensibilites while the terrorists laugh in their beards.

Morning. Different chaplin this morning. Is Feingold actually mounting a filibuster or is he just using up alloted debate time? I think it's the latter but I could be wrong.
