directing the racist killing of a Jew.
PARIS, Feb. 28 — Youssouf Fofana, called the Brain of the Barbarians by the French press for his suspected role in the kidnapping and torture of a Jewish cellphone salesman in Paris, offered another side of his personality this week in a tranquil jailhouse interview from Ivory Coast that provoked shock in France.
Dressed in a sweat suit, with a female companion at his side, Mr. Fofana, 25, dined on a meal spread out on a wooden chair, smiling frequently for a television camera and calmly responding to questions about the grisly killing of the salesman, 23-year-old Ilan Halimi.

Politicians of all stripes have seized on the issue. President Jacques Chirac and other government officials attended a memorial service for Mr. Halimi last week at the main synagogue in Paris.
Marine Le Pen, daughter of the right-wing leader Jean-Marie Le Pen, joined a protest march on Sunday attended by tens of thousands of people, including the Socialist Party leader, François Hollande.

Mr. Halimi was kidnapped and held for three weeks, investigators said, lured by a 17-year-old French girl of Iranian descent who left him in the hands of a group of multiethnic immigrants who call themselves the Barbarians and were supposedly led by Mr. Fofana. Mr. Halimi, who was dumped, naked and covered with cigarette burns, near a suburban train station outside Paris, died on his way to the hospital on Feb. 13.
"The abduction was carried out for financial ends," said Mr. Fofana, a smile tugging at his mouth. Asked if he had anything to say to the victim's family, he said, "I didn't kill their child."

This article reads like it was written by my 12 y.o. I have read it three times and still can't figure what they were protesting.
I agree...that is not clear, but I would assume they were protesting this awful torture and murder.
Ethnicity isn't a religious designation. They could easily be multiethnic and be all muslims.
NO They Haven't!..Not until they go in and clean out the areas they claim are "No GO Area's", will they have even a start at reclaiming soveringty.
Any action other than the above is nothing more than frilly frog window dressing.
The family should take a deep breath and release photos of the body.
The left is in such denial that this monster will be viewed as some kind of victim.
Something has to shock the ostrichs.
If this had happened in the USA, we would not have seen his picture.
Everything that happens in the USA is passed thru the filter of PC so as to not let the public know the truth - that members of certain government-designated-specially-privileged-minority-groups commit more than their share of crime.

And notice that a protest of that size on this planet and it did not make one major news clip...
What is going to happen to this 'child'? In a just world, she would go to jail for at least 10 years, but I got a feeling just finding out what does happen will be difficult, and it won't be much if anything, either.

My 12 year old writes much better than this article....but it's likely they were protesting the US...is there anything else the French would take their time away from sitting around to protest?
If they release the pictures muslims will riot complaining they demean Islam as a religion of terrorists, then the left will blame this guy for being tortured and blame his family for releasing the pictures. You know, standard leftist bovine fecal matter.
