OK I'm going to say it.
The pro gun crowd have gone over the top on this one. There is no place on a U campus for weapons automatic or otherwise.
If stunts like this are what American students are spending their time on then they are neglecting their studies.
This sort of agit prop nonsense is going is turning American Universities into under performing second rate political mosh pits.
The world is laughing at you and crying for you.

The world is laughing at you and crying for you. Sorry. Can't take you seriously with a name like Beaver Fever.
Perhaps you can post on the cultural relativism of Animal House

A number of colleges have competitive shooting teams. Even Yale teaches trap and skeet as physical activities. So yes, there are places for guns on colleges. The Constitution is still in effect on college campuses. In spite of what the academics say contrarywise.

The weapon is not actually on campus. Essentially, they are raffling off a voucher to be cashed in at the local gun store. Once there is a winner, he/she will need to go through all the legal channels to obtain the weapon. From my understanding, the weapon is not, nor will it ever be, on the campus. There is a weapons ban at Clemson. I do not believe it will even be purchased until there is a winner, and he/she passes the background tests, etc.

There is no place on a U campus for weapons automatic or otherwise. Bulls**t. I had several guns in my dorm at Dartmouth, and shot them in the deep woods behind.
Guns belong anywhere men are free.

Too late. They are well past that.
I have to say it is a clever way to get some publicity.

I guess that is why (as an undergrad) I cut amethyst inlays for the Security chief's S&W --in the '70's. Universities used to have shooting teams, as did high schools.

Good morning.

Why?
Why are you going to say it and why is there no place on a university campus for weapons like these?
