Republicans had a stunning month of fundraising, with the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) finally besting its Democratic counterpart, more than doubling its take (see chart below).
The NRSC's success, Republicans say, stems from its small-donor program's finally kicking into gear and yielding big dividends.
Howard Dean's Democratic National Committee (DNC) continues to worry Democrats. It did raise $1 million more than it spent in January, meaning that Dean has climbed out of the hole. This cycle, he has now spent roughly every penny he has raised.
The Republican National Committee (RNC), which operates on half the payroll of the DNC, now holds a cash advantage greater than 5-to-1.
The bigger Democratic concern may be that Dean is becoming bolder about taking on other party leaders, evidenced most recently by his complaints over their forcing Paul Hackett (D) out of the Ohio Senate race.

This news is just eating a hole in yer gut, ain't it? Maybe you and Patty can go get drunk and drown yer sorrows!
Good grief, what a bunch of whiny losers hanging out here. Not that I'm surprised one bit. But I should bookmark this thread, so if the Dems do take over Congress I can see which of you is the first to piss and moan - blaming everyone but yourselves, of course.
Is there a report that shows the number of individual contributions by amounts? If memory serves the RNC receives most of its contributions from individuals in small amounts and would like to confirm.
From the article:
Does that confirm it?
What a bunch of whiners you guys are. It's time to grow a pair.
Baloney! That is above board legal money. That isn't even the tip of the iceberg for the Democrats.
