The Left doesn't hate Christianity it hates Traditional Christianity.....the Left LOVES Christianity and Water as C.S. Lewis put it....this version of Christianity is basically a leftist political movement that encompasses all that the left loves....and they uses Jesus's call for compassion and charity to promote it, while ignoring virtually everything else about his life and purpose for that life here on earth.
You can certainly use the Book of Acts to justify leftism. Ananias was a perfectly good capitalist and is struck down by God.
However I fully agree that the Left is basically a rebellion against many traditonal Christian values. But I would argue that there is no specific Biblical endorsement of free-market capitalism. The Bible was written when monarchy was the fashion.
