Well! This is certainly a sharp stick poked in their eye.
Well deserved, but I wonder how the blowhards in the MSM will respond? More 'hit-pieces'?

So, Drudge is basically simply releasing the content of the new book, STRATEGERY, one by one...

On NPR this morning, since I listen with one ear, they were talking of some college and something about hate crimes because a student was in a white supremacy rock band. Nothing about calypso louie's "hate speech" and the state of the black union that happened this weekend.

Its interesting to watch these media conglomerates try to deal with the realities of a new kind of world.
He's right, it is interesting, and I'm very curious where this will lead.
Right now, the only newspapers making money seem to be the small weekly and community newspapers. But small papers can't support bureaus in state capitals or D.C., and certainly not overseas. If the big dailies continue to lay-off and go out of business, where will bloggers and forums such as this one get their national and international news?

Almost as shocking as Bush Sr. cheering the rise of Rush Limbaugh and talk radio.
Shocking, I tell you!

As for Rather's insistence, to this day, that the documents are real, Rove said: "That's really bias." It's pathetic that Rather still can't accept reality on this.

Every time I read a new "revelation" by Bush or Rove, it basically amounts to something as new as "The Sun rises in the East." Let's see, so far we have Hilary will be nominated but lose because a lot of people don't like her, Bin Laden's pro Kerry statement hurt Kerry, Republicans are glad the MSM has lost out to conservative talk radio ...." Next will be: "Bush calls Ted Kennedy a Liberal" I can't wait.

I do too. In fact, I would cheer louder if main stream media organizations would go completely broke.

A good example of bias is the continuing story that the Coast Guard raised flags on the Dubai port deal, when the Coast Guard online says they were misquoted.
If you only get the disinformation from MSM, you will believe one thing; if you see it online you'll get corroboration before you decide.
I agree with Bush and Rove: the "new media" phenomenon is good, but there is a dark side too. Comes down to personal responsibility, IMO.

If you really want to know where the first person who suggested that as communications technologies improve the MSM will suffer greatly, go read Alvin Toffler's
The Third Wave. Toffler--even way back in
1979 when this book was published--prophesized that changes in communications technologies will change everything; note back then he saw the beginning of the rise of online services, 60+ channel cable TV, cheap desktop computers and home video systems, all over which have evolved into today's pubic Internet, 100+ channel digital cable TV and 200+ channel small-dish satellite TV, the modern desktop and desktop computer access the public Internet at over one megabit per second download speeds, and the rise of videocassette recorders, digital video recorders and DVD players.
All these changes have devastated the MSM; people can now time shift their TV programming, watch movies at home only 4-5 months after theatrical release, and get information that the MSM can't cover or ignore for political reasons. The really scary part for newspapers is that the likes of eBay and Craigslist are starting to devestate classified ads, one of the few remaining moneymakers for the newspapers.

Has Dick Chaney personally informed the press? Or are they still in the dark.

I was flipping through channels last night and heard some anchor on MSNBC talking about Fox. He said, "Remember the saying, Fox not facts." I don't even know the anchor's name; so much for his influence. I also immediately turned on Fox and I count because I am part of a Neilson family.

Damn. I'm gonna have to get this "Strategery" book...Drudge's drip drip from it is working...I want to buy.. :)

New Media keeps gaining ground too. Look at the impact bloggers and the New Media had on the 2004 election. Since the MSM looks terrible, impotent and irrelevant now, imagine how awful and ineffectual it will be in 2 1/2 years, for the next Presidential election!
