Lubbock? Where is that?
Thanks for the info...although I've been in Texas about 20 times, the fine points of geography are not in my wheelhouse.

It is 120 miles south of Amarillo.
I lived there for about 20 years.
Well, It has changed a great deal in the last ten years.

"Arlen" is a ficticious city in Texas, thus my stretch to get to "gArlend".

The location of the fictional town (Arlen) relative to real-life locations is never explicitly stated within the show. Arlen, one of George Bush's "Communities of Excellence", is a city of 15,900. It was originally founded as "Harlottown", later shortened to "Harlen", by settlers during the westward migrations of the 1800s. The town was then known for its large population of prostitutes. City leaders renamed the town to its current name as a way to turn around the city's image as a haven of prostitution.
Heck, I'm in Cal-lee-fore-nee-yah and I know where Lubbock is.....it's just south of Happy, Texas!

My daughter was blown around many of those buildings when she went to school there.
Gee, even aircraft departing Lubbock now have rear view mirrors! hehehe
And, from the horizon visible in that photograph, the phrase "Ski Lubbock!" was born.
