I think 26 year-old males who "live with their parents" are a dead giveaway.
They should be avoided.
(I was at happy hour a couple of weeks ago minding my own business when this guy pulls up a bar stool next to me and starts yammering. I said to myself: "ex-con who lives at home".) Sure enough, he got around to "explaining" that he just got out of prison and was living with his mother. I moved away as quickly as I could...)
