Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter (R-PA) has introduced the long-awaited bill that is to be the "vehicle" for the Senate's response to the House's tough immigration enforcement bill (H.R. 4437). Many initial media accounts described Specter's bill as a "middle ground." But it may be the most radical open-borders legislation ever introduced in America.

So this is Specter's thank you gift to Bush for saving him from being beaten in the primary before his last Senate run.
Disgusting, he should be locked up for even suggesting legislation like this.

Those illegal aliens who entered the United States before Jan. 4, 2004 and are currently unlawfully employed would be allowed to legalize their status and stay indefinitely without first returning home (the only reward denied them would be citizenship). And their families would be allowed to stay indefinitely as well. Ok, so how many paychecks do I need to sign over to them?

I'm so mad at Jorge about his open borders, they both should be locked up.

If the senate response is the same old shell game that they always play on us (i.e., let the house propose what we want and pass it, then have the senate reject it and/or postpone it until Tuesday).

If you think that Bush would have signed into law the house version of the bill you are deluding yourself. Bush has nothing ot do with Specter proposing this bill.

Bush has everything to do with this bill and if you can't see that it's you who is deluded.
Bush will eventually either sign stricter legislation or have to sit and cry when his veto is overidden.

I have no doubt he would refuse to sign stricter legislation and that just proves how out of touch he is.
Bush will become a truly lame duck much sooner than he should have. He has become a liability to those republicans seeking re-election and everyone in the house and senate knows it.

Click on the numbersusa link and join America's largest grass roots anti illegal immigration movement!
The Senate is going to hear from us, with any luck they will come to understand, as did the House, that Americans are disgusted with the situation and are willing to toss the elected representatives to get the action we want.

Spectre was also the one who made sure 60's ghuru, "Unicorn Killer" got away to Europe, free from US prosecution.
The guy chopped up his girlfriend, and stored her in a trunk.

As soon as we have a bill number for Scotty's Senate bill, I'll be burnin' up the Email pipes to my two Senators, telling them to vote Hell No on this monstrosity.
And I hereby give up all rights to the use of the phrase I just coined: Vote Hell No. Freely use it if you like.

Leave it to Specter to introduce a "terrorist friendly" bill.

With all the discussion about the
State of the Black Union today, I just had to grin when I saw your name.
That can not be politically correct. hehe
