Yeah, but those killed could have not died in a more Holy place. I think I know where they're going.
28.425o Premises on which carrying concealed weapon prohibited; "premises" defined; exceptions to subsection (1); violation.
(e)Any property of facility owned or operated by a church, synagogue, mosque, temple, or other place of worship, unless the presiding official or officials of the church, synagogue, mosque, temple, or other place of worship permit the carrying of concealed pistol on that property or facility.
it isnt where you dwell, but WHO dwells in you.
I wasn't really upset. I understand the reputation Detroit has. My husband is from New Orleans, I met him there 27 years ago. We had three of our four children there before we moved to the Detroit area in 1985. Watching what has happened in that wonderful City, yes there were bad things in New Orleans but mostly it was a wonderful place, (even Mardi Gras used to be family friendly), has been very difficult. It's sad now to see the devastation. Gosh, its sad to see the devastation here in Detroit. I wish I could get in a time machine and go back fifty years and see Detroit in its prime.
Yes, and a bunch of people sent them to her...
that was after they showed the wacky street names like the one in Houston: Clinton Road & Fidelity Way or Farfrompoopen & Constipation, Psycho Path - it was pretty funny.
Here in Ohio we have a corner or Grinn and Barrett
And it took only 9 posts, (less than 3-1/2 minutes!) for FreeRepublic to predict that terrorists may have caused the impact on the WTC towers!
I'm sure if they worshiped satan they wouldn't have been in a house of God.
Judas was in the synagogue with Jesus.
What a long day that was.
Those threads bring it all back.
There wasn't a shooting in a synagogue, it was a church. Some people would argue that 1+1=2. Are you one of those? I'd rathered be killed in a church where I'm praising his name than in one that worships the devil.
All I am saying is just because you are going to church doesn't mean that you are worshipping Jesus. The Bible says in that day there will be many who say "Lord, Lord did we not....in your name?" And he will say "Depart from me You workers of iniquity for I knew you not."
King Claudius:
Hamlet comes back: what would you undertake,
To show yourself your father's son in deed
More than in words?
LAERTES
To cut his throat i' the church.
That thread and a couple others which started within minutes should be required reading for all newbie FReepers.
Wow. You stand behind that comment? Yes, I go to a shoe store to buy gloves. That's what you're saying you know.
Have a good day.
yup , I just now went on that WTC thread and then FReepmailed
... the Antique Media knows well how to keep the constant drumbeat , with ...
... the "marxist dialectic"
No doubt that if you are in church you are there to worship the risen Lord, and if your heart is right and you ask Jesus for forgiveness the gunmen will be not be able to take away you're place with Jesus..The gunman has alot to worry about. That being said it is a utter tragedy that evil comes to our churches, and I pray for the victims and thier families....
Maybe we could get the Michigan Chronicle (Detroit's black newspaper) to publish the Muhammed cartoons and get the Arabs in Dearborn stirred up. This could turn into a win-win situation.
