A man opended fired today at a church..still at large, very few details
Yes they are 'gun free'.
GOOD NEWS....
that poor boy was shot, and watched his mommy murdered in front of his eyes..just because she had a car.. and this guy wanted one.... somehow he figured because he wanted the car...her life was expendable... and the little boy...
I will NEVER understand such a twisted mind and soul.....
we would had to listen about what a victim HE WAS if he'd had a trial....
You should see the turbans that are 'pimped out'.
I won't run through them all. That's enough to get my point across that their being murdered in the House of the Lord says a lot about them. Blogger, by their comment, came off as insinuating that just because they died in church didn't mean they were good people. Afterall, it's not where you dwell, but who dwells in you. I think by their being in church, the good Lord dwelled in them and I'm taking that on faith.
Clinton goes to church. Jesse Jackson is a Reverend. So is Al Sharpton. I'll probably get stung for this one but it is true, Pope John Paul II is seen in one picture kissing a Koran.
What you are saying is an emotionally driven comment. It does not have support in either day to day reality or in Scripture. Face it, the Bible says that there are tares among the wheat. It also says there are wolves among the sheep. I have no idea what the condition of the people in this incident were. THey may have been good God-fearing people. But just because they were in church does not make them worshippers of Christ.
You could take a bus to the Vernor's plant for a tour, pop in Sanders at the soda fountain, shop in the basement at Hudson's for bargains, take a tour of Stroh's, catch movies at United Artists-Gem-Palms and many more theaters, walk Woodward and shop at a lot of name brand stores, grab a sandwich at Easter Market and sit by the river next to the Robin Hood Flour silos-now the site of the Ren Cen, take in a card game at the Casino on Belle Isle, ....etc. And you could walk anywhere at anytime. That WAS my Detroit.
Are you omnipotent? I automatically thought of her as a God fearing christan who was going to heaven. You, on the otherhand, threw in the opinion that maybe she wasn't a good person. You saw the glass as half empty...I saw the glass as half full.
By your analysis, that woman who was murdered in church was just there for appearences sake since no one knows what was in her heart, how could you make a statement like that? You could have said, 'poor woman' or 'I hope so' but, you didn't. You doubted what was inside her.
I'll just add if I'm ever murdered, I hope I'm lucky enough for it to happen while I'm in the house of the Lord praising his name.
Do not ascribe to me words I did not say. I never said that she wasn't a God fearing person. I have no idea. I did not doubt what was inside her because I have no idea. Neither do you, by the way.
I am attacking the idea that just because someone goes to church it means that they are saved, God-fearing, Jesus worshipping people. I've been in church life for too long and know this is not always the case.
Now if you have Scripture that backs up your point, spill it. Otherwise, shut your mouth. You have lost your point and now are resorting to mischaracterizing what I had to say. You don't have a case. I hope the woman was saved. Her salvation wasn't the point in my comments. My point is that it is Jesus in the heart that saves not attending a church. Got a problem with that? THen you have a problem with God Himself, not me for that is exactly what His Word says.
Wow, you guys need a group hug. |
And throw in a bucket of Qualudes for good measure.
LOL! Thank you.
Just say no.
Haven't went throught the whole thread yet, but did kill himself.
Local news said his shot himself in the chest.
I looked at where she was murdered that says something about her character. You saw it as...it isnt where you dwell, but WHO dwells in you.
Since she was in a church, I'd say the Lord, dwelled in her.
Now if you have Scripture that backs up your point, spill it. Otherwise, shut your mouth.
You shut your mouth. You included her in with Clinton goes to church. Jesse Jackson is a Reverend. So is Al Sharpton. I'll probably get stung for this one but it is true, Pope John Paul II is seen in one picture kissing a Koran.
A woman murdered in a church and you cast aspersions and doubts on the depth of her spirituality, please.
I agree, were that it was so.
I feel the warmth. Thanks. :-)
There's a new shirt out.'Where the Live are Eaten and the Dead Raped'
I don't go there. But thanks.
BALLONEY!!! I didn't include her in anything. You have COMPLETELY missed my point. Trying to figure out whether or not this particular woman was saved or not was not in my radar at all. That's above my payscale.
And yes, it isn't where you dwell (a church building is a building. Plain and simple. ) it is WHO (i.e., the Holy Spirit) dwells within you. You can go to church all you want it doesn't make you saved. Hitler was a church-going man. He was also a monster. My point was that you can't judge a book by its cover and just because someone goes to church doesn't make them saved. I also said that she may have been a God fearing person. I did not say she was like Bill Clinton or Al Sharpton or anyone else.
And, I also note you that you don't have Scripture to back up your commentary . Instead you are attacking me with things I did not say.
I did not cast aspersions on her spirituality. I didn't even address her because I do not know the woman. I hope she was saved. I hope she's in Jesus's arms right now. But it is dangerous (eternally so) to think just because you are in church you're okay.
You don't know the woman and you have her built up to be a saint because she was in church. Facts are neither of us know, and the facts are she wasn't the point of my commentary. But apparently you are too busy trying to jump all over me for what you are imagining me to say to get my point at all. I'm not arguing with you anymore, for there is no point in arguing about it if one party is going to ignore completely what your point was.
