The Talibans former spokesman, Rahmatullah Hashemi, is now an undergraduate at Yale University, The New York Times reveals in a lengthy cover story by Chip Brown in its Sunday magazine this weekend.
The cover line reads, He was the Talibans spin doctor. So whats he doing at Yale?"
In fact, the story shows, Hashemi was at Yale once beforein 2001, appearing at a forum representing the Taliban, a few months before the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
A small clip of Hashemi appears in Michael Moores Fahrenheit 9/11 film.
In some ways, Hashemi, 27, says today, Im the luckiest person in the world. I could have ended up in Guantanomo Bay. Instead I ended up at Yale. One of the courses he is taking: TerrorismPast, Present and Future.

LOL
Too bad Yale isn't as generous and open minded towards the US Military!
The terrorists can recruit at Yale, but our military can not.
Alas, too true. :(
Beyond insane..What th ehell is our government doing to us ? How the hell did this guy get into Yale? This is too much .i have to go to bed here..AMAZING ..we are one messed up country . I bet he's on the taxpayers tit as well..I'm stunned here .
It was noted earlier on TV (Sun, 2/26) that one of Yale's alumni is interviewing for 25 intern's to assist him in various parts of the U.S. True story. Bubba is interviewing for 25 Monica's. I'm sure every blue-blooded blue state Mom will want her daughter to intern for Bubba, right?
The NEW YORK TIMES was filled up on their quota of Muslim spokesmen so he took his second choice, Yale University.....former home of Bill and Hillary Clinton.
im not surprised he got into yale (probably a free ride too) but that he was given a visa. You have to go through a visa interview and background check (i've been through that) im sure the people know he is Taliban
A Muslim at a Christian university...very odd.
Yale is very odd, too.
the hard part is getting in
I didn't respect them 25 years ago. Their reputation for me now is lazy well connected and weak minded. There is a reason they don't release their SAT scores.

Agreed. They are a shell. In fact, Harvard, and everything they stand for, is one good reason we might win. Our enemies are completely corrupt and, to a large extent disfunctional.
Not only who is feeding, paying his rent, medical, tuition, but who is watching the "former taliban pr man"? Hopefully he is being watched. He can be setting up more cells, recruiting and all sorts of mischief.
Anyone note the IRONY of Summers being hounded out of Harvard by the Feminutties and yet a SPOKESMAN for the Taliban which forbids any rights to women is WELCOMED at Yale?
