The family of Ilan Halimi, who was kidnapped, tortured and killed in an attack that appears to have been motivated in part by anti-Semitism, will not attend the demonstration against racism and anti-Semitism that is scheduled to take place in Paris on Sunday in response to the murder, but will hope for its success, the family's attorneys said Saturday.
The rally - which is due to be attended by over 100,000 people and numerous public figures, including government ministers - has become controversial due to the planned participation of representatives of two right-wing political movements, the National Front and the Movement for France (known by its French initials MPF).
On Friday, the anti-racism organization MARP announced that it would refuse to attend the rally for this reason, charging that both movements were using Halimi's murder to whip up anti-Muslim sentiment and thereby encouraging racism. The National Front, for instance, described the murder as "the result of 40 years of uncontrolled immigration," while the MPF denounced "the Islamization of France."

Classic.
What was the other part?
This was not a race or religious issue, it was purely a
thuggish element bordering on criminality. They were not
standing up for the community, we are talking about thugs
and criminals who wanted to deliberately start things up to
create the headlines, and theres no justification.
MORE anti-Semitism.
France is becoming Islamicized, and anyone who protests is called both a racist and xenophobe by both the Muslims and European "elites."
There is one person in the pic that really stands out. He doesn't quite look like the other five "youths." No racism here. /s
those photos are incredible. could you provide info about 2 of them?
1. the first one--with the Muslim men beating the young guy--is he Jewish?
2. the one where they are half-burying the woman: is that preparatory to stoning? what was her "crime"?
thanks
There are three or four clear pictures of the thugs. I'm sure the local police all have pictures to be on the lookout, and the local muslim community is helping turn them in to authorities. Right?
anti-zionism.
The "peaceniks", while their hearts are in the right place are going to have to learn that its NOT discrimination / racism to point out and take action against a group that wants you dead!
This is truly a battle for the direction of the species. We can move on and continue to evolve or we can be drug down into a 4th century blackhole, ruled by ignorances and cult worship.....which future do you wish to leave your children?
The Stoning Photo is of a woman who was accused of adultery after being raped. This photo was smuggled out of the town of Arak in Iran.
This poor terrified woman, in a particularly gruesome execution carried out in 1993 was to be stoned to death in front of her husband and two young children. After the stoning began, the woman was able to free herself from the hole in the ground, escaping death. According to Shariah laws, in such cases the woman must be let go, as her death sentence was revoked by divine intervention. Ten minutes after the failed stoning, however, the poor woman was chased down, apprehended and summarily executed anyway, by a firing squad.
In stoning to death, the stones should not be so large that the person dies upon being hit by one or two of them, neither should they be so small that they cannot be called a stone.
Stoning is usually carried out in public and in many instances families of the victims have been forced to watch the execution. Although it is codified that a person will be pardoned if s/he manages to escape, the victim is re-captured by the authorities and killed in a number of cases.
Well said.
Anti-zionism = anti-semitism.
Uhmm...I knew that. I was responding to the poster who said if it was partly due to anti-semetism...what was the other part??...to which I responded...anti-Zionism...meaning it was ALL DUE TO JEW HATING. It was supposed to be humorous...but the whole situation is so not funny, isn't it?
It's terrible.
I believe that's from the Maldives.
