I never knew which song I found more truth in: Here Comes Your 19th Nervous Breakdown or Mother's Little Helper. Both of them were great social commentary.

Likewise, it's damned near chic to be depressed these days. This won't win me any friends, but it's pretty damned observable that retiring wallflowers without a social network tend to be the depressed bunch. People who like people and socialize, tend not to be depressed.

Nah. People who are depressed don't solcialize.

It runs in my family as well. I ended up in a terrible bout of depression while I was an Army officer in '94.

My last resort before shooting myself was to go to the Army shrink. Believe me, that took more courage than shooting myself.

He put me on an antidepressant and it kept me from shooting myself.

It's a very, very real thing and it will kill you it it can.

Actually both types can get depressed - the first type tend to have ideas of being useless the latter group of guilt.

There is something about the world that prefers extroverts. I thought about being one once but I could be bothered.

Nice observation, but you've got that backwards. People with depression tend to be retiring wallflowers without a social network. Your view makes as much sense as "Diabetes is a made-up disease...it's the people who won't process sugar well who are so-called 'diabetics.'"

Hey, some of us who are clearly anti-social are not depressed at all. We enjoy being that way. Fur Shur, fewer bills would get collected without us.
