TOPICS: Crime/Corruption; Extended News; Government; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: 109th; 2005review; ntu
For the record, my two senators got an A (Cornyn) and B (Hutchison). My fooled-too-many-local-voters-into-believing-he-was-conservative congressman, Chet Edwards, got an F.

I won the trifecta: Boxer - F, Feinstein - F, Susan Davis - F.

Sounds like some grade inflation to me. The number of people who deserve good grades could be counted on one hand. Both parties and the President have failed us badly lately and have made drunken sailors look thrifty.
To: SmoothTalker
It is inflation. Look at the methodology. It says to get a 'C' you have to have a score of at least 50. The Republican median in the Senate is 70% and it is 59% in the house. Does anyone really think either of those spend crazy lots deserves to be well above the 'C' level?
To: Constitutionalist Conservative
The Peoples' Republic of Taxachusetts got straight F. Every Rep and both Senators - F.
I had a C for Turner, C- for DeWine and B- for Voinovich, which were better than I expected.

Hawaii, North Dakota and Vermont also had straight F. What's wrong with North Dakota? They're in the sane part of the country away from the poisonous influence of salt water.

McCain came in with a higher score than Allen. I'm telling you (not that I like him) but McCain is very smartly positioning himself to be the nominee.

NTU scores them solely on fiscal issues, not on conservative issues in general.

My two Oklahoma Senators Coburn and Inhofe made the list of friends of the taxpayer -- would have bet those two would have been on that list with an A!

McCain came in with a higher score than Allen. Yea, he also scored higher then Coburn (who has gone vegan when it comes to pork) so I want to know how they came up with this.

I find it convenient that Hagel got an "A" while Nelson got a "D".
Does anyone know if some senators use their counterparts in the state to bring home pork so as to maintain some kind of spending credentials.
Then again, Hagel has always said and sounded and voted like a deficit hawk.

Gosh, I wonder how Guvuneh Warner of The Old Dominion would have scored. Does the scale have negative imaginary numbers for use in rating utter nincompoops.

Proof of this statement with sources? Funny thing is people scream this statement over and over then use fraudlent data to make it look factual. Intresting to note that not ONE Democrat voted FOR the several measures imposing a misicule measure of fiscal restraint on the Fed Govt the last couple of months. It is intentionally intellectually dishonest to lump both parties all into one free spending pot.
Freepers who insist on lumping Defense and Homeland Security into Federal spending during a time of war to "prove" their propaganda talking points on Fiscal matters are failing US badly. Just screaming talking points does NOT address the matter, it merely is an grandstanding ego play by people stuck on the lunatic fringe of American Political life
