I remember it being mooted as a possibility some years ago (probably talking mid-eighties), I'm not sure it was ever implemented though.

Heck, if it wasn't for traumatic climatical changes in Africa that turned the jungles to near desert, we'd probably all still be there.

Climatic change is part of a natural cycle that turns upon thousands of years and has never been adequately measured enough to predict the next cyclical change.
