George W. Bush is about to fritter away his party's last advantage.

George W. Bush is about to fritter away his party's last advantage. What Republicans have had going for them is that they aren't Democrats. Over the past few days we've seen the men at the top of the Grumpy Old Party drifting toward something that looks suspiciously like an Old Boys' Party. When he hears applause only from Jimmy Carter, who gave away the Panama Canal (now controlled by the Chinese), and Bill Clinton, his newly adopted little brother, George W. should be looking for the panic button. Once they're no longer regarded as the toughest party on national security the Republicans will be burnt toast.

The couldn't have seen it. The process is deliberatey invisible to them...that's how it was designed.

A couple of foreign countries bid on a contract. One of them one the bid. It was vetted. Everything was pretty mush business as usual.

Who did the president allegedly shut up? With all due respect, the truth was squelched in this matter and anyone with any intestinal fortitude who did not get all the facts on this matter before they squealed should at least admit to themselves they made a mistake.

Again, they won't control the ports.

WE WILL still be in charge of security etc. The company will perform the other duties.

Come on. You really expect anyone to believe that? I've seen the list of folks who okayed this.

Because again, they don't know what the deal really is.

I would be mad too if it really is what the media is portraying, but it is not.

Unfortunately, this all comes down to the horrendous communications staff at the White House.

Mark Levin yesterday also mentioned Madeline Albright and Dashel to complete the trio of those ex politicos lobbying for UAE interests.

Your leaders are accountable; they created this process to begin with.

Now a couple of them saw an opportunity to abuse the process for their political purposes and that's good? How is that holding them accountable?

So you don't want all financial transactions in this country involving foreign countries delayed until you're personally satisfied, just until ever member of Congress is personally satisfied, and have satisfied their obligation to their voters. Yep it still isn't a waste of time...it's economic suicide.

This port story reminds me of the situation in the mid eighties when the Japanese were buying up the United States and legally taking over Hawaii...

Then along came the massive Kobe earthquake.

"Because again, they don't know what the deal really is."

They couldn't know until the vetting process was over; it had just gotten over.

They had no reason for concern even then, this was nothing more then the normal vetting or yet another financial transaction involving foreign concerns; it was simply normal business for the process. There was nothing remarkable about this one.

I don't expect you to believe it, it's just the process that's in effect.

Now! who is fear mongering?

I take economic suicide every day of the week and twice on Sunday, before I sacrifice our National Sovereignty.

"Now! who is fear mongering?"

That would be those who manufactured this non-crisis.

Most of the Cabinet knew about this deal. Claiming that this 'process' is somehow free of political considerations just doesn't pass the smell test.

"Not even Karl Rove's dream of a mighty coalition of Muslims and illegal Hispanic immigrants will be enough to put Humpty Dumpty together again."

Oh, that's funny. Nail right on the head.

Let's see what will be done to you when Democrats gain control and trust me they will. After the Left tested you guys with this Port story, they are patting each other on the back as I type. Have fun when they are elected and take control but do not think they will give you credit for their win.

The President and the RNC are f***ing up on so many levels, but somehow it is the fault of the conservatives because they're being duped by the Democrats. Tell me another one - that was pretty funny. I almost shot water out of my nose I laughed so hard.

They knew about it once the process had been completed.

When they blithely signed off on it, as I originally said.
