George W. Bush is about to fritter away his party's last advantage. What Republicans have had going for them is that they aren't Democrats. Over the past few days we've seen the men at the top of the Grumpy Old Party drifting toward something that looks suspiciously like an Old Boys' Party. When he hears applause only from Jimmy Carter, who gave away the Panama Canal (now controlled by the Chinese), and Bill Clinton, his newly adopted little brother, George W. should be looking for the panic button. Once they're no longer regarded as the toughest party on national security the Republicans will be burnt toast.

He's your trusted source of information, not mine. I will be happy to disregard his opinion given that you are not interested in posting his credentials. To me, he's just another faceless name with an opinion.
Now you're just being patronizing, rude, and even more insulting.
You are not the only authoritative voice on this issue, nor are you the only one with a stake in it. You are also not the only one who can speak with authority on the national security implications of the deal.
I guess I must have missed your interest in the Middle East when I was willingly deployed there for months at a time, separated from my family, participating in active combat operations. Come to think of it, I don't remember seeing too many Coast Guard members in my many trips there.
See, two can play at your game. It doesn't feel good to be talked down to, does it? It doesn't feel good to have your interest in national security issues, legitimate questions about those issues or your service to our country denigrated, does it? It doesn't feel good to have someone make insulting comparisons or take your statements out of context to misrepresent your position or question your intelligence or motives, does it?
Over and out.
You're moving opposite the trend.
The more rational people learn about this deal, the less concern they have with it.
What I think is happening now is that those who jumped offside early on are too dug in to admit they were wrong.
My probelm is having a Rino globalist for a President.
LOL. There's no "Michael Savage" persona when I deal with people in person, mind you.
So. If everyone was jumping off a cliff would you? I have not been convinced this is not a security issue.
You were talking down to me? I didn't notice it.
"After Harriet Miers, all I heard was, "The Republicans are finished." Sorry, they are stronger than ever."
You stick with this, maybe someone will believe you.
There, that admission wasn't too difficut was it? You don't like President Bush so matter what he does, you're going to take issue with him.
Too bad for you that you'll never field a candidate to your specifications who can possibly win election to the presidency. The Patster remains a flame throwing pundit.
No one is giving them anything. They "won" the contract based on their bid.
Thank you. I note he is a man of distinction.
Yep.
Wrong again.
I supported him on Iraq, Alito, Roberts, tax cuts, more.
I oppose him on Ports, runaway spending, runaway growth of government, CFR, free trade, and more.
I do not blindly follow anyone.
No need for you to believe me. Just watch the election results. I haven't yet seen ONE RACE where any of this is having an impact. When you do, let me know.
LOL! I don't know what brand of beer he drinks either. I do know that he's knowledgeable in this issue and you...well we all pretty know where you're coming from as well.
Well, thanks for the reply. Have a good day, I'll be otherwise disposed!
If there's a club at Prince Sultan Air Base, I must've missed it. I was too busy doing my job, I guess.
Where did you sleep at night, by the way? In your own warm bed, surrounded...gasp, by your family, I'd guess.
As for ships, there weren't too many of them in the middle of the Saudi Arabian desert. Wasn't a whole lot of ship-boarding going on there. Only boarding getting done was in the Gulf, I think, and it was most likely done by the US Navy, not the Coast Guard. :-)
