Would we have allowed our ports to be operated by a Japanese Imperial owned or German Nazi owned company during WWII?What a dumb comparison. The UAE helps us maintain our military equipment and operations in the Gulf. I understand having hesitations about this port deal, but to insinuate that Dubai is a hostile entity with which we are at war is ludicrous.
If this protest takes place, are you also going to demand that the UAE immediately end all military and intelligence support to us in the WOT? Or would that force you to be consistent?

Lets see....The Bush Friendly Media (NOT) & the likes of Hillary Clinton, as well as Chuckie Schumer are against this.
Rush Limbaugh spent all week researching this & actually reporting the FACTS!!
I get so aggravated when Republicans have knee jerk responses to Media Distortions!
When a GOP voter is launching a protest to stand strong with the likes of Hillary Clinton, Maureen Dowd, and the New York Times, it helps me understand why the press is so dishonest! Because it still works!

Why don't you demand that UAE stop flying planes into this country, and stop aiding our military.
Just give it a rest. You are wrong.

Are the people sponsoring this protest Union Workers?

It really doesn't matter who runs the American side of the port. Once a nuclear bomb is loaded into a shipping container at the far side and it sails into a US port, it can be detonated on the ship with the desired effect. We need to screen cargo containers when they are loaded at the foreign ports. Those ports represent the real vulnerability.

Yeah, we can go protest and look just like the mindless anti-war libs. Most conservatives are smart enough to research and understand what the issue is before getting outraged. You should try it sometime.

I would like to see the UAE back out of the deal, quit helping in the WOT and kick our Military assets out of their country.
Then I would like to see President Bush and his entire administration resign and allow the libs complete control.
Then many of you can eat your own guts and live in the hell that you helped to create.

This protest is going to have the usual anti-globalization kooks and anti-freetrade weirdos as well as the usual communists, anarchists and America bashers.
This UAE ports deal is not a security issue, but an issue of America's free trade and globalization policy. The people who normally protest these policies are the ones who are against this deal and I want nothing to do with those bozos.

If we want a huge rally, we gotta invite the Dims, because they are against this too.
Who woulda thunk it?
We can throw "true bipartisanship" right into this administration's face bec

Nope, not me. Just because I don't understand something doesn't mean that it is not understandable. Any of y'all that protest are only doin' the demoncrap's work for them.

Here is a posting of P&O berths being purchased by Dubai Ports. There are only 2 to 7 berths in each of the 6 North American ports. That is not much.

I'm going to organize a national day of protest against Home Depot. I heard the terrorists bought their box cutters there.

A dumb idea promulgated by ignorance.
Hannity was the King of Ignorance today, arrogantly displaying it for all to see.
Ain't no one on this site can call me a Bush bot but this is one time I solidly agree with him.
The reality is that this is political posturing that whips up the easily frightened in knee jerk response.
The UAE ain't our enemy. They are better allies than are the Democrats.
