They aren't parents. Parents are married.Gee, that would certainly be a surprise to a friend of mine, who believes that she's a parent to a daughter. Tell me, did she stop being a parent when her husband died? I also know of at least three other of these "former" parents, due to a divorce. And one woman who had a child out of wedlock altogether. She's not a parent either?
