Watching these hot-dogging politicos scramble for the tall grass ought to be part of the Olympic coverage.

Would be far more entertaining than watching grown men sliding 40 pound stones across a sheet of ice, and directing the stone with brooms.

If you haven't seen it check out Colonel North's take on this manufactered crisis. "They" have been avoiding that tread as well.

Saudi Arabia already runs some of our ports? And Scott McClellan and others have never mentioned this? If I were the PR boss in the WH, there would be some serious talks going on right now.

Great find!

Damnit!! If those aren't Arab terrorists running our ports, I don't know what is! Impeach that treasonous SOB Prez. He's selling out our country for... [reaching into magical box of hysteria and conspiracy]... Saudi cigarettes!

Evil bastard is trying to poison our children's lungs!

We all know how powerful the media is and how evil the left is. They have some powerful tools of manipulation and propaganda. I can understand how and why people could scared about this deal. We all have made mistakes when judging politics.

I say lets move forward~ and Support our president he deserves our support.

If anyone reading this feels badly they could call the white house and give their support to the President and call their congresscritter and Senators and say-"I support the President".

And then all previous bad things you have said will be erased!

:]

Here is a place to contact your elected officials:

CALL NOW!

Thanks for the info Onyx....

FR poll statistics remain an honest opinion despite the Saudis operating some U.S. ports (they ARE Arab, right??):

"Should a state-owned Arab company be allowed to manage six major United States seaports?"

No
52.8%

Yes
33.1%

Undecided
14.0%

I'm sure the poll question is based more on whether Arab Muslims should be trusted in matters affecting U.S. security. That answer is a resounding NO.

Arab Christians (who are too busy being persecuted and harrassed in Arab lands) would evoke a different equation, rendering the "race card" argument disingenuous and Dem-like.

The fact that Saudis have been operating American ports (under the radar) is equally disturbing IF NOT MORE since their history of supporting and financing radical Islam and terrorism is easily demonstrated.

But because "nothing has happened" yet doesn't mean a thing.

Is Islam is merely biding its time and awaiting the "right" moment as it burrows itself in like termites in a foundation of a house?

QUESTION: DOES ISLAM HAVE AN AGENDA, OR IS THIS MERELY BUSINESS??

And does this mean Syria and Yemen, and North Korea, and Venezuela should ALL be denied the same "business oportunity," OR is that a matter of "xenophobia" as well?...

Afterall, it is a "Global Economy," isn't it? /sarc

Actually the poll is flawed since they won't be allowed to manage any U.S. seaport...the question.

They will only be managing commercial concerns within U.S. ports, management and security of the port remains the responsibility of the local port authority and appropriate federal agencies.

Good points. Every time someone parrots the talking point about how Saudi Arabia has been here managing ports so why not let other Islamic states manage our ports, my immediate reaction is to say "Why the Hell have we been allowing the Saudis to manage our ports???" Apparently what I am supposed to say is, "The Saudis are already doing it-----well let's open up our ports to everyone then!"

The poll question begs for a NO answer and it was posted at the height of hysteria.
