The first thing you need to do when these feeding frenzies start is look at the facts then look at who is pushing the frenzy. It's almost always the same people who will insist any story that demeans the President is true.
They've been at this since Governor Bush announced his candidacy and they're frankly getting desperate.

if the other side on this doesn't come out for Nationalizing ALL American ports now they are hypocrites

if the other side on this doesn't come out for Nationalizing ALL American ports now they are hypocrites Logic begs to be followed to its reasonable conclusion...unfortunately the 'otherside' is devoid of both logic and reason...especially when its inconvenient...

"IT'S BUSH'S FAULT!"

But think of the benefits. All those under productive, over paid union longshoremen would then become under productive, over paid government employees.
Of course having AmtPort running these commercial enterprises wouldn't have any impact on our economy, it wouldn't swell the size of the U.S. government and it would guarantee that no terrorist would ship anything to this country...it would be lost in some other port somewhere.

Why haven;t you been worried about this?

I just noticed the thread that stated that Bob Erlich, big dog of Maryland, has decided to "study the implications" of the DPW deal.
Guess he read onyx's post that identified a Baltimore terminal as run by Saudi "17-of-19-hijackers" Arabia for some time now, with no incidents.
Watching these hot-dogging politicos scramble for the tall grass ought to be part of the Olympic coverage.

You also notice how the usual suspects, the Bush is all evil crowd, have avoided that thread, the threat were someone went to all the trouble to post all the facts, Colonel North's thread.
I wonder why?

There was plenty of outrage when the city of Long Beach decided to tear down an old Navy building with historical significance in order to offer the land to the Chinese. It got to the point that the city had to back down on the issue. Folks weren't going to let it happen.
Then I think the city waited for a period of time and did it anyway. They may have given some other land to the Chinese, or more properly leased it to them.
At any rate, I think it did go through finally, in some form. It didn't go down without a fight though.

Yep, someone mentioned it earlier. I was unaware of this. I don't like it either.
