Seems awfully beneficial to the Russians and Chinese. But I suppose it's better for them if they keep hands-off the Mexican invasion---any connection between this and the Russians and Chinese would tend to agitate the American people and rouse them from their sleep vis-à-vis this subject.

the average american is up-in-arms about leasing the ports, while the border below is wide open.

" It is about a great national migration, a nation of people moving into our nation’s land, in order to reproduce on it their own nation and people and push ours aside."

What a foolish statement - Does the writer actually think the people are running from Mexico for the opportunities here, and want to use those opportunities to turn THIS country back into Mexico ?
... Like they are just having such a great life there they can't wait for the chance to spread the joy around ?

Bush is a sell out - sure Bush use your only veto for the ports and keep our borders wide open to finance your friends. While law abiding Americans continue to be raped, murdered, robbed and destroyed because you think that they are saviors and that we are vigilantes.

Vote conservative or dont vote at all.

A concrete wall 60' high with electrified barbed wire on the top from San Diego to Gulf of Mexico and shoot to kill orders for anyone crossing outside a crossing station will stop the inflix of these cucaracha's

Just what do you think is happening across the southwest? Whether intentioned or not, the outcome is the same. It beats anything I've ever seen, but those fleeing Mexico now feel a very strong loyalty to it, and almost none to the U.S. Furthermore, the radical elements are certain they are recapturing land that should belong to Mexico anyway. If they feel that way and voice that openly, why do you deny that it is real?

The average American is up in arms about the ports BECAUSE he won't address the border or seriously secure the ports. It's the "last straw" for a lot of people. But then, there's very little we can do about it, so maybe we all better shut up before we get put on the watch list.

I think the government of Mexico really likes getting millions of military age, angry, poor mestizos out of the country so they don't have a revolt and lose their heads. If they wind up causing a revolt here, so much the better. Also, the mexican military and government are up to their eyeballs in the drug trade, so these military incursions can be expected to continue as long as we allow.

Our only hope is that evil always overreaches and someday they will wake us up to the enemy nature of our relationship with Meh-hee-coh.

Your post is on target. I live in Newport Beach and I experience this. It amazes me that the children of illegal aliens are loyal to the country that their parents left. Don't forget that the illegal aliens themselves are still loyal to the country they left. They don't feel connected to this country because they are here only for the money. They are often resentful because they see how most Americans live and see that their own lives are much worse. This is their fault but that doesn't stop them from coveting. Still, most of them do feel that this part of the country belongs to them. I've found that people who don't respect laws have a sense of arrogance about them. They feel that the laws simply don't apply to them. They aren't bothered by the consequences suffered by others and will justify it.

SOUTHWEST? I am in Alabama, and we now have a significant mexican population when we used to have none. Now there are mexican sections of at least 5-6 communities. Get them the hell out of here NOW!

There are some people that think we should give the land back to the Indians ... so ?
With the millions of illegals up here ( all of whom should be tossed out BTW ) a few hundred wave flags and protest for the hungry TV cameras and I should get worried they are invading to conquer us ? ...Hardly

I'm in Alabama too. I never thought I would see the day when small southern towns would have mexican stores.

Nope, counter to your first statement - If they cause trouble they might get kicked back, and Mexico loses the Billion$ that gets sent back every year.

... and even if you are correct about the Mex government being in the drug trade, just why would they want to cause trouble ? Drug dealers like nice quiet closet junkies. No muss, no fuss

BEcause we make a mistake if we see the mexicans as being of one mind. There are individuals in the mexican army who are involved in the drug trade that can send their units out to protect a shipment or anything else they want. Anything can be done for a "small" fee. Come on, we all know this about that so-called country, it's a toilet. It's more or less anarchy. Sure there's a lot of nationalistic fervor to claim US territory (which they had held for like 20 years when we took it, so much for ancestral claims), but I don't think any of it is terribly organized.

I'm actually of the opinion that the flow of people here is impoverishing Mexico by bleeding them of human capital. It's stifling innovation here, because we're addicted to cheap labor. This is all seperate from the crime problem and security issues.

It's bad for them, and it's bad for us. I say shut it down until and unless they allow us to own land and operate businesses down there.

"Anything can be done for a "small" fee. "

Yep, In San Diego they just caught two Coast Guardsmen who were waltzing illegals in the front door and out the back door into the U.S. for 3 grand apiece.

This was through the border crossing building itself.

A "Second Mexican War" ? hardly ...

" I say shut it down until and unless ..."

Illegal immigration should be shut down period -

Punish the American who give them jobs, cutoff the benefits, and kick out all illegals NOW - no excuses ( got kids here? tak'em with you )

Once there is no "Free Parking" that problem will go away.
