Sounds uncaring?? Well, I care. But unfortunately, the DNC has created a situation where we can no longer defend ourselves. The only way to overturn this apathy is going to be losing a hand.

True, but you may have missed the point that the AQ threat cited here is against Israel.

Tel Aviv could be a glowing, smoking crater and Bush/Rice would urge the Israelis to "exercise restraint" and "seek further dialogue with the Palestinians".

I definitely agree, this is what it has come to. We have become complacent yet again, and the only thing that will wake this country up is another major attack on our soil. The American public is different then it was 60 years ago (I think, I am only 30), our attention spans are crap and we focus more who is to blame for a problem instead of picking ourself up and hitting back at that problem harder then we were hit. Our elected leaders are more worried about future elections and positioning for power then the actual state of our union and it is going to be paid back to us in spades.

I still can't believe it is only 4 1/2 years after 9-11 and a large portion of our country has grown spineless so quick. I wonder what the next benchmark in deaths and financial loss will it take before we get pissed off again, and after that how long will it take until we become complacent again.
