WHat does that have to do with the current situation? So anyone who has ever had to deal with Saddam or Al Queda we freeze them out? Where will we get our intell from then? Unlike the cold war where we could insert spooks with relative ease we have a problem now. We have a cultural, ethic and language barrier that can not be easily over come. We have to build bridges with friendly governments over there. That does not mean we trust them with everything, but we have to trust them with something. We need any ally who is willing. We cannot take them all on by ourselves.

Very true. At the same time like I think Bush is looking at the bigger picture. If Bush can articulate this correctly he can make this a winner. For years the libs in congress and the press have called him a buffoon, insensitive, war monger, not friendly to allies, etc. yet here he is saying let's not judge. I still would like to know more and I am trying to read as much as I can but if W, Rice, Rumsfeld and Tommy Franks like the deal I believe we should give them the benefit of the doubt.

PLEASE ask Carl Rove why the administration doesn't highlight the relationship, going back to the 90's, that Al Qaeda had with Saddam.

This is so easy to prove. Even Clinton's Justice Department's indictment of Osama bin Laden mentions his relationship with Iraq with regard to weapons development.

The left constantly claims there were no Al Qaeda in Iraq prior to the war, which is a huge lie.
