Tony Snow is back and better than ever!  Tony's guests and topics on today's Tony Snow Show include:

More Information Needed
Many who object to the port deal are concerned that they were not in the decision-making loop. Should more people be included in decisions of this nature? Maryland Governor Bob Ehrlich (R) weighs in.

The Facts Win
After sifting through mountains of paper and doing acres of research, the port story doesn't seem like a big issue. But Tony will address any concerns.

The Zen of Bode
Why does Bode Miller insist he doesn't care about winning medals at the Olympics? What is he even doing at the Olympics? Fox News Contributor Tiki Barber thinks he knows the answer.

All requests happily honored.

"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time
-- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

I listened to yesterday's show last night (of course)...and after a LONG day of hand wringing and hysteria by politicians...it was wonderful to hear your calm, clear, and concise explanation of this..

I also appreciate that YOU sent Griff out to the ports....much more "homework" than any other news person or host that I listened to.

Please keep up the good work, and bring us facts, not hyperventilating....we are adults, we can handle it.

All we want is information, so we can make up our minds.

You got me there! Yes, they get out...outta Dodge...but not out of their comfort zone and not into the real world.

The president has sucked on the PR on this issue. He thinks that if he understands that the average congresspet will, and he should know better.

If you have any evidence that frontpage magazine is reporting anything false, then please post it. I'm always open to new information. Can you name a single thing in either article that is untrue, or is it just easier to sling mud on a wall and see what sticks?

Why not? Didn't you know that President Bush controls the weather and can even make earthquakes happen? /sarc

As I said, I've got the Mother of All Press Availabilities in mind. It would shut up everybody. The president also has to do some behind-closed-doors woodshedding. I'll describe that, too. I'm more furious about this thing than any issue I've encountered in years.

I'm anxious to hear what you have to say....this has been a pet peeve of mine for 5 years with this administration...

IMO, the entire reason the Democrats are opposed to this port deal is twofold: 1) it lets them look patriotic and concerned about terrorism; and 2) they want the entire operation unionized and federalized.

They need to garner more votes and unionizing the deal would help them with that goal.

And that is the crux of the problem here. If Bush would explain things thoroughly he wouldn't have to play catch up 2 weeks later all the time. Snow is dead on. I have been hearing conflicting stories by the likes of Hannity, King, Savage and more. In my opinion Snow is handling it better.

I said last night on that thread, Mo1, that Hillary must be on meds or something because she really, really lost it in that speech.

I know...wouldn't this "story" been a whole lot different if Tommy Franks had been on the talk show circuit about last Friday when this broke? We do need to fix the WH Press Operation. Thank God for Tony.

And thanks, Tony, for at least dangling the question about the GOP nomination to him. I guess if we want him, we'll have to draft him, and I don't know of too many drafts which really work.

While Bush is at it, he needs to bring in King, Frist, et al into the WH and give them the low down. Set them straight on the national security implications of their second guessing. I would love to see them stalking out of the Oval Office up to the cameras.

Some day, before I die, I want to see Republicans get out in front of an issue and play offense and actually learn to frame the debate.

Anybody got a photo of Stalin to put beside one of her making that speech? Their clothing is remarkably similar.

I think at this point you are beyond reasoning with. FrontPage is a leftist publication and I would never use it. Your best bet is to listen to Tony and Tommy Franks.

"General Franks is no Weasley Clark"

A debate between the two of them would be an interesting event.
