The American Secretary of State Thursday morning in Beirut
BEIRUT - the Secretary of State American, Condoleezza Rice, must pay Thursday an unexpected visit of a few hours in Beirut, within the framework of his round in the Middle East, one learned from official source.
The American Secretary of State must in particular discuss, during his visit with Beqyrouth with the Foreign Minister, Fawzi Salloukh, and the Prime Minister, Fouad Siniora, one specified of the same source.
The visit in Beirut of Mrs. Rice, who left Thursday Riyadh morning to continue her round in the area, had not been announced. According to her initial program, Mrs. Rice was to go to Abou Dhabi.
The majority of the newspapers of Beirut had made state of this visit, announced late in the evening Wednesday by the television of Hezbollah Shiite, Al Manar.
In Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Mrs. Rice ran up against the refusal of the two Arab States to isolate Hamas, charged to form a Palestinian government after having gained the legislative elections of 25 January, and having regarded as a "terrorist organization" by the United States and Europe.
Are we seeing the beginnings of a United Islam? In a way, I hope so. Muslims are not our friends, their 'holy book' states clearly their goal is to kill or convert every infidel. A religious war is coming, better to do it now and get it over with so our children and grandchildren don't face a more dangerous enemy in the future.
