Did someone say "slippery slope?"
THis is the very DEFINITION of slippery slope!
Worse than ANYTHING is the mindset of the parents, who
apparently already think it is their BIRTHRIGHT to have US change to accommodate them, since they will NEVER change to accommodate US! When you think about it, there is a direct, current, and unbroken link between the PC tendencies forced on government schools going back several years (especially the taboo on mixing paint to create "skin tones") , and the readiness with which the Muslims are being submitted to ---yes, that's what it is:
as if to admit "we're just the whores of funding---we are so scared someone will make too much of this---so just go ahead , tell us what you want, we have no standards of our own, you tell us what out standards should be") IOW, government schools have no problem doing this---they've been preparing for it for a long time. Ad obnoxious as a PC curriculum was, I don't think any of us ten or fifteen years ago wouild have assumed it was paving the way for pushy , "you-owe-us-everything" Muslims.
PS--as i was editing this, it took me about 6 tries before I got a spelling of curriculum that looked right.Tough word!
